Between Us

I crawl back into the shower smiling.

I look at my stomach and cry again.

Tears of joy. My baby was there. She was alive. Then the door bursts open and Trev comes in and gets into the shower and grabbing me.

"Mia?"

"Yes?"

"I love you. I really do. And--wait are you crying?" He says and guilt forms on his face.

"It's okay." I say but he just kisses me.

"Trev?"

"Yes Mia?"

"I-I-I...I'm...Pregnant." I say and he looks at my stomach.

"You sure?"

"Yes." I say and he looks at my face and then at my stomach.

"Trev...you okay?" I ask and he grabs me and pulls me into a hug.

"Mia..I'm so sorry..."

"What?" I say and look into his eyes.

"If Ed finds you with that child. He'll know it's not his. He'd kill it."

"No!" I scream and hold Trev realizing that my child was in danger.

"He would."

"No! I'd rather DIE then have him have my child! Have our child!" I say and he shakes his head.

"Mia..I need you to stay calm okay? I won't let him hurt our child or you. And he wouldn't. If he loves you...he wouldn't hurt you enough to kill the child." Then it hits me. He wouldn't. But it would be worse than I thought.

"Oh no.."

"What?"

"He'd make him/her a soldier...a soldiers fate.." I say and Trev grabs me closer.

"No..we'll be safe. Ill do everything to protect it."

"Thank you Trev." I say and then look at my stomach and frown.

"What?" He asks and I look up at him.

"I'm gonna get fat, I don't want to be fat.." I say and he frowns.

"You know what? Fat or skinny I love you."

"Im gonna get insecure around...even you." I say and he pushes me against the wall. Then he pulls my shirt off. And then he gets on his knees and kisses my stomach. Then he gets up and pulls his shirt off.

"Mia?"

"What?"

"I love your stomach. I want to see it everyday."

"Why?"

"Cuz it's so perfect. And every part of you is MINE. I get all access. Fat or not..you're mine." He says and then I realize that the water was still on in the shower and we were soaking.

"You're mine too." I say and then pull him against the wall.

"Every part of you is mine." I say and then trace his lips with my finger.

"What? You like my lips?"

"No. I love them." I say and he smiles then I move his hair out of his face and touch his entire face. Then I kiss everything but his lips. Then I look at him.

"What is this about?" He asks and I smile.

"I wanted to memorize your face. But I wanted the lips last." I say and then slam my lips onto his. I turn off the water and he pulls back.

"Lets get out." He says and we walk out. I start drying my hair and I realize that he is staring at me. I then blush remembering that I had no shirt. Just my bra. I notice a little bump on my stomach. It wasn't as flat. I go to grab my short but he grabs my hand.

"No. You need a dry one." He says and I run to the room and grab one he grabs it and puts his arm up.

"Trev give it back! You're not funny!" I say and he just smiles. He asked for this one. I put my hands around his hips and look into his eyes and then put my lips onto his. After about 10 minutes he put his hand down so he could touch me but I grab my shirt and slip it over my head.

"Ha!" I say and he pouts.

"No fair! Cheater!" He says and I grin.

"I won it!" I say. But he just shakes his head.

"Cheaters get punishments." He says and I freeze he throws me over his shoulder and all I see are his feet.

"Trev! What are you doing?" Then the door opens.

"What the---oh no! Please NOOOO!" I scream but he just smiles. He then jumps into the freezing cold water.

"Nooo!" I yell and he swims to the rocks. This was the lake me and Gizzy fell in after trying to ice skate.

"Trevor!!!" I scream and he just smiles I slowly walk to the rocks and am shivering so hard. I walk to him and squeeze him in a hug. I hold him so tightly I feel like I'm squishing him.

"Get me to warm-mth." I say and he grabs me and takes me to the cottage and pulls me under a blanket.

"Let me get you dry clothes." He says and runs upstairs and comes back with clothes. Under the blanket I pull off the wet clothes and grab the dry ones.

"Let me--"

"No! You're staying!" I say and pull him under the blanket. I cuddle him. I feel him smiling.

"Not funny."

"No hilarious."

"No." I say and he pouts.

"Mia...I'm sorry." He says and I sigh.

"You're forgiven." I say and cuddle him more. And I feel him playing with my hair.

"Mia...stay beautiful...and remember that you are."

"Stay with me...stay." I say and grab his arm.

"If my baby dies..what am I gonna do?"

"Mia. If our child dies...it wouldn't be your fault." He says and I smile.

"Thank you Trevor. I think...I think that no matter what happens...I love you...and will stay with you.." I say and he makes me look at him.

"Don't forget me Mia." He says and he kisses my forehead.

"I'll never love anyone like I love you.." I say and he smiles. Then grabs my hand and I close my eyes as we stay in our little piece of happiness..
