she was with you?

“I’m not a normal human Ian. I’m not going to go running just because the man I like turns into a giant wolf,” I whispered and his gaze snapped to mine. “I am scared but I am willing to accept what you are.”

                “Thank you.”

“Don’t thank me. Not yet anyways. I am willing to allow us to get to know each other but I’m not entirely sure about this whole mate thing so why don’t we take it slow and in a few months we will talk about it?” I asked and his normal smile returned to his lips.

“Deal,” he said and I couldn’t help but smile.

“Now I am still drunk and am about to fall over to why don’t we get out of here,” I said and looked back towards the club.

“Sounds good to me,” he said and stepped up beside me as we walked back to the parking lot. I couldn’t help the smile that played on my lips. Maybe having a normal boyfriend would just be too boring. Now having a boyfriend that turned into a giant wolf? That would definitely put some excitement into my life.

“Destiny!” my mom asked frantically over the phone and I cringed at the sound of her voice. My head definitely didn’t like that sound of her voice this morning.

“Hey mom I’m fine. I just woke up,” I sighed and looked at the clock beside my bed. Well not my bed. The hotels bed. I had agreed to go back with Ian and stay with him in the hotel room since he didn’t want me to be alone and I wasn’t sure about taking him back to my place yet. I mean what if he chewed apart my furniture of something? Okay that was a long shot but still.

“Well I’m just glad your okay. Karley phoned me last night saying she wasn’t sure where you went,” she said and I just groaned and fell back into the bed.

“Yeah well Karley is the one that left and I’m pretty sure she’s in the room next to mine,” I sighed and a familiar giggle told me I was right.

"where are you guys at?” my mom asked.

“In a hotel. We met up with some friends last night and decided to get some rooms,” I told her and I heard the shower shut off as Ian got out of it. “Hey mom I got to go. I will call you later when I get home.”

“Okay bye honey,” she said and I hung up just as Ian walked into the room fully dressed in a fresh pair of clothes.

“You know you could have told her the truth,” he said as his gaze met mine.

“What that they guy I’m seeing turns into a wolf? I think not,” I muttered and climbed out of bed. I wobbled a little and Ian was suddenly beside me with his arm holding me up and making my jump. “Jeez move fast enough?”

“I meant that you could have told her who you were with,” he said ignoring my comment about his speed.

“Yeah well it’s not a big deal. Now why don’t you get the others while I have a shower,” I said and pushed him towards the door. Truthfully I wanted some alone time to wrap my head around all this new information that was still fresh in my mind from last night.

“Okay,” he said and quickly left the room. I let out a breath and headed towards the bathroom to have a nice long shower.
