Well it seems that in some ways luck was on my side... NOT!. Our teacher Ms. Beckworth decided that as it was our first day back to school that we'd have a 'fun lesson'. She said that we'd all play a nice game. She gave each of us a card and on that card was an emotion. The aim of the game was that who ever guessed the emotion that was written on your card whilst you were describing it won that round.
She passed me my card and I opened it to find the word 'LOVE' written on it. Ah damn I thought to myself. 'What emotion did you get Jenna'? asked my friend Torrie.
'Ah you no I can't tell you Torrie cos that would be cheating'. I replied feeling slightly annoyed.
Out of all the emotions that I could have got I had to get that one didn't I, I thought.
'Okay' said Ms. Beckworth 'We are going to decide who goes first randomly I'm going to close my eyes and pick a name from the register. Ah first person is Jenna' she said looking towards me with a smile.
'Errmm' I stuttered after the intial shock of me being first had passed. 'I know' I said with a smile as I finally decided what I should say. 'People say that everything is fair in this emotion and in war. Can anyone guess which emotion it is'? I said.
And just like that the whole class started to turn around towards eachother trying to work out what this emotion could be. 'Love' shouted out my friend Fiona. 'The answer is love. Everything is fair in love and war;' she concluded with a big toothy grin on her face.
'Well done Fiona' you got it I said smiling at her.
'That's a point to Fiona' said Ms. Beckworth writing down her score. 'Okay let's do the same thing again to see who goes next' said Ms. Beckworth as she scrolled down the register. Ah next up is Jason' she said and looked around the classroom having spotted him she smiled and nodded to Him to proceed.
'Well' He said 'this emotion is the complete opposite to the emotion that Jenna had' he said whilst looking me dead right in the eyes.
A few minutes later I felt my phone vibrate only to see that I had gotten a text from Him which said 'and this emotion is exactly what I feel for you. I hate you. I looked up to see Him looking at my reaction and smirking when He saw the tears form in my eyes.
This is not the guy I fell in love with. Where did that guy go? The one that was my best friend. I don't know how He changed i just want my best friend back I thought to myself as He watched me silently cry...
