Oh Darkness

Oh darkness how you shine so bright

Take over everything with your wonderful sight

How you hold me close in your embrace

How you wipe away the tears from my face

How you welcome me with a smile so warm

How you lift me up with your sweet charm

Oh darkness, only you I can reside

Telling all the secrets I keep and hide

You fill my empty soul with glee and bliss

When the light comes pouring in, you are the one I miss

I bask in your black and gray hues

Nothing but happiness within me ensues

Oh darkness how delighted I'd be

If you are to stay forever with me

All throughout the days of my life

Through the pain and through the grief

Oh darkness how you make my life complete
