Together they stared quietly at the glittering stars.
This has been the best weekend ever, she said.
Steam rising from the hot bubbly water cloud her view.
I don't think we could ever top this one!
Suddenly he jumped up, hopping from the Jacuzzi returning in a flash.
I have looked for so long for a best friend, looking in all the wrong places, when everything I needed was right in front of me.
Taking her hands, he said those very words she had waited so long to hear. Holding out a small box he said,
Will you marry me?
It all began to make sense why he had been so strange lately.
Yes! Yes! Yes! You have made me so happy.
He kissed her with such love her heart began to melt.
The moon shone down illuminating her new gem.
Together they smiled quietly at the glittering stars.
