Chapter 50, wow! So I have some exciting stuff planned for this chapter and I hope that I did an ok job writing it. If you can't tell, I've been taking a bit of a break from writing scenes from the anime. There will be more scenes in the future, but for right now I just want to work on my plot. (And besides, I much prefer writing my own scenes to writing down those that already exist.) Enjoy!

I avoided everyone as much as I could for about a week. None of them remembered their drunken antics, but they figured that they must have done something pretty bad for me to be acting like this. I was in a sort of haze because Guy had said a lot of things to me before we had gotten distracted by Tsunade, and I really didn't know how to feel about any of it. I sighed, at least I knew now the he liked me too...

While I was avoiding everyone, the village was attacked by the people who had been bothering the Fire Temple. As per the usual, Naruto and co. had been given a simple mission that snowballed into something infinitely larger. Naruto was able to save the village, and I was proud of him. I was there and watched as he suppressed the Nine-tails' chakra all by himself.

The next day, things had died down and returned mostly to normal so I hunted down Sakura. She was in the hospital taking care of a few shinobi who had been injured. When she was done, I pounced.

She was walking out of the hospital gate when I stepped around the corner to greet her, "Hello Sakura! Would you like to come on a walk with me?" I smiled a little too sweetly, and she looked at me suspiciously but agreed anyways.

We walked for about ten minutes in silence until we reached my apartment, "How about you come in for lunch?"

"Um, okay... You're acting really strange, you know that right?"

I gave her a close eyed smile, "I have no idea what you're talking about."

I brought Sakura into my house and sat her down at my two person table as I sat across from her without setting down any food. I rested my elbows on the table and laced my fingers together, placing my chin on them. "Talk. What have you all been up to recently? About a week ago, I had a great time at Jounin Night were a very drunk Hokage and her subordinates talked about getting Kakashi and I together. I want all the details, talk."

She blanched, "I will never sell out my comrades."

I laughed with none of the amusement reaching my eyes; to be honest, I was having a little too much fun interrogating the poor girl. "Nice try, but you've already been sold out. Now, I want to know what all you've done."

She gulped, "Well, it has mostly been Lady Tsunade because being Hokage there's a lot more that she can do..." I nodded encouraging her to continue. "Well, there really were more free rooms in the hospital-"

"I know, that was revealed by Lady Tsunade herself as well the fact the she put us on a team together for the same reasons."

"What! I didn't know that she had done that too." I glared at her and she got back on track, "Well, we really haven't had time to do too much yet. Naruto and I were thinking about trying to get you and Kakashi to go and eat some place with us and then bailing at the last minute, but that's not going to happen now."

I sighed, "Good, only Lady Tsunade actually managed to do anything." I rubbed my temples, this was such a nightmare. Part of me really wished that they were successful, but the rest of me didn't want people meddling with my personal life.

"But- But you do love Kakashi-sensei, right?"

I sighed again, "Just because I love him doesn't mean that I want there to be a large underground organization trying to force us together. It's really an invasion of my personal life."
