Jack walked into the living room nervously, trying to be casual as he walked over to one of the couches and sat down. He glanced over at his blonde friend, sitting there unaware of Jack's uneasiness.
Jack breathed in and out slowly, before getting up out of the couch, and onto Felix's couch. He moved his body closer and closer to him until their thighs were touching.
Felix smiled, "I understand you and Mark haven't had sex yet but don't ask me to satisfy your needs, I've never even had gay-"
"No Felix that's not why I'm here," Jack giggled, hitting Felix as he got more comfortable.
He sighed, "I wanted to talk about Ireland again,"
Felix furrowed his eyebrows and looked over at his friend, "I thought you said you were staying?" He asked with sudden nervousness.
"I said I might stay," He told Felix nervously, "I told you before, I just feel like I should go home," Jack shrugged, looking down at his hands.
"Don't you want us to be your home?" Felix asked, his voice raising, "I, I don't know what we're doing wrong I mean," The blonde shifted himself away from Jack, "You told me that your family completely fell apart there, you have nothing but bad memories there, you told me yourself you've been wanting to leave Ireland for awhile," Felix sounded so upset and Jack felt so so guilty, "If you wanted to go back, I think you would've left by now," He chuckled, "It's been what, two months?"
Jack's lip trembled, "I don't know, I just wanna go-"
"You wanna go home, I know," Felix rolled his eyes, interrupting the boy, "If you do leave, how long do you plan on staying?" Felix asked slowly, sounding like he was calming down, "How long would you be leaving Mark for?"
"Oh god don't say that," Jack said, closing his eyes with a frown on his face, "That'll make me feel more guilty."
"Good! Feel guilty and don't go!" Felix said, making Jack frown even more, "I mean, have you even mentioned Ireland to Mark at all?"
"It's just something I have to do okay! Like don't you miss Sweden? You have to get homesick every once in awhile," Jack yelled breathlessly, tired of Felix always scolding him for this.
"Sure, I miss my old house, I miss being around my family but, there's a reason I stay here with you guys," Felix spoke, sounding sincere, "Have you ever heard of the term 'blood is thicker than water'?"
Jack nodded, making Felix speak up again, "It's probably the most common misused proverb of the fucking century," He laughed, but the sentence made Jack confused.
"How?" Jack asked.
"Well, for one, people say it wrong," He smiled, "The term is actually 'the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb'," Felix scanned over Jack's careful eyes, before smiling bigger, "Everyone has gotten it backwards."
"It means that the bonds you make with others, will always be stronger than your family bonds because the ones you make with friends are ones you choose to make yourself," Felix spoke steadily, looking at Jack's eyes which were pointed in another direction.
