day 38; the sound of silence

Skylar woke up to a pounding in her head followed by the soothing voice of someone familiar.
Skylar slowly opened her eyes to see michael laying beside her. She smiled for a second before she soon realized where she was. In the hospital.
Her smile quickly faded but returned once michael looked down at her and noticed she had woken up.

"I've gotta go cal. Ill catch up with you as soon as i can, yeah keep looking and let me know if you find a nice place. K bye" michael said quietly before setting his phone down slowly

"Hey babe. Are you alright?" Michael asked Calmly but instead of a response, skylar coughed.

She couldnt talk.

"The doctor said you might not be able to talk." Michael said as he gave skylar a weak smile

Skylar tried her best to keep in the tears but it was nearly impossible.

"No no no no." Michael said as he wiped away the few tears that had fallen, from skylars face.

"Dont cry." Michael hummed as he wrapped his arms around her slowly

"It'll only make it worse" michael sniffled as skylar looked up to see that he to, was crying.

"Oh sky." Michael stiffled a laugh as he tried to contain his tears.

"I tried. I really did." Michael said as he broke down again. Squeezing skylar lightly.

"Im so sorry. I love you and i always will" michael said as skylar started to turn a light shade of blue

"Skylar. Dont forget about me... when you're.....up there"michael said, as he choked back a sob.

The doctor had told him earlier that day that once skylar had woken up, her time would be short.

Skylar started turning pale and all michael could do was try and calm down.

"You're the only girl ive ever loved. And that i will ever love. I love you skylar." Michael said slowly as he began kissing skylar all over her face
