(Malia's POV)

As soon as Lydia found out that Isaac had asked me to the dance, she dragged me out dress shopping with her and Kira. They seemed to know everything about everything when it came to dress shopping, and I just stood awkwardly and watched them. Lydia huffed when she saw me just standing there.

"Malia, get over here so I can help you find a dress!" She snapped. I instantly walked over to her and stood still as she held dresses up and made small comments about how the dress didn't fit my skin tone, or wouldn't look good with my long legs. I patiently waited until she held up a silver dress that faded into a dark blue halfway down. It went an inch or two below my knees and had a strapless v-neck. Right away I knew it was perfect.

"That one." I said. Lydia nodded.

"Just what I was thinking." She agreed. I went into the fitting room and tried it on. It looked amazing, now the only problem was finding shoes that went with it. Lydia rapped on the door a moment later. "Come on Malia, we want to see it." She called. I stepped out and both Kira and Lydia's eye's widened.

"So?" I asked, blushing a bit. "How do I look?"

"Amazing." Kira said, he tone showing how stunned she was.

"You look beautiful." Lydia said softly. "You remind me of Allison when we went to get dresses for the winter formal our sophomore year." I looked down, I knew Allison was a sore subject for Lydia, and I felt a little guilty for reminding her of Allison, but I couldn't help who I was.

Lydia cleared her throat, wiping the corner of her eye's with a tissue she had gotten from her purse before smiling brightly. "Let's go buy some shoes ladies!"
