Chapter 13

Sooyun was happy that Amber didn't give her away. When Key left and she stopped crying, Amber put her down and it made her pout and puffed her cheeks. She doesn't want to be put down yet.

"Appa's hands are tired now and we have to eat our dinner." Amber said to her. "Just watch some TV shows while I'm preparing our dinner." Amber spoke and patted her head.

"Okay." Sooyun sighed. "Hurry up, I'm already hungry." she continued after she dropped her little brat on the sofa and grabbed the remote.

Amber scoffed seeing Sooyun came back in her bratty mode. He knew that she's already fine.

"Yes, little Princess!"Amber replied and bowed like a servant that made Sooyun giggled.

After they had their dinner together, Amber starts working for his presentation tomorrow. Sooyun didn't bother her Appa but she just stay on the bed and arranging her stuffs in her backpack. She glanced at her Appa and giggled when he saw the serious expression on his face and it caught Amber's attention.

"Sooyun, why don't you prepare yourself to sleep?" Amber said as he looked at her.

"Appa, when you get married to Umma, are you going to sleep beside her or sleep on your desk?" Sooyun replied looking at Amber curiously.

Amber got a bit surprised of what Sooyun had asked him. He thought that she is probably thinking that he will snatch Soojung from her fiancé if he found out that she is his daughter. He chuckled and approached Sooyun. He sat down on the side of the bed looking at her.

"Even if I won't get married to your Umma, I won't change the fact that I am your Appa." Amber reassured her with a smiled.

"Appa, Umma won't be happy if she won't be married to you." Sooyun stated. "She doesn't love him."

Amber laughed upon hearing what the little girl said. Sooyun just looked at him with furrowed brows.

"You're still young and you are talking about that. Do you even understand what love is?"

"Duh! I'm not stupid like you Appa. I exist because of your love with Umma." Sooyun replied rolling her eyes on Amber.

"What is your Umma like?" Amber asked Sooyun that made the kid gave him a teasing smile.

AMBER's POV

I just ask her because I was just curious but I guess she misunderstand me. I laughed seeing her smile she's flashing to me. She moved a bit closer to me and I think she got interested on our topic.

"What do you wanna know Appa?" she asked me.

"Is she nice to you?" I questioned her.

"Yeah, she is. She loves me more than anything else!" She replied with a big smile and it made me confused.

"Then how come you don't want to come home yet?" I asked her.

"Because if I do, they won't allow me to see you again." She retorted. "Appa, you will really meet my Umma, right? You will marry her, right? We will become a happy family and I will be an Unnie too, right?" she bombarded me with questions.

"Easy there little Princess."I said and laughed. "Yeah, I'm going to meet your Umma but that just it." I said to her and she sighed.

"But Appa, you have to marry Umma too. I want you to marry her and not that guy. He doesn't love Umma and he won't make her happy." She stated.

"What made you say that?" I asked her curiously.

"Duh! It's because there is no love." She answered with sarcasm. "So win Umma's heart, neh Appa?" she continued as she flashed an innocent smile.

"I d..."

"Yehey!" she exclaimed happily cutting me off. "Okay, I'm gonna wash."

She hurriedly jump off the bed and went inside the bathroom. I just laugh at her antics and walk towards my desk to finish my work. After a while, she came out from the bathroom wearing her pink pajamas and she stand in front of my desk. I think she wants to compliment her pajamas.

"Whoa! You look adorable in that pajamas!" I complimented her and she grinned.

"I know! So I'm going to sleep now. But first, you must read me my story." She stated.

"Right." I replied and scoffed.

I picked up her story book and tucked her in the bed. I started reading the story and I don't know why she loves it. She even fell asleep before we reach half of the page.

"Good night, Sooyun." I said to her and kissed her on her forehead.

"Good night, Appa. Marry Umma, 'kay." She replied groggily and later curved a smile.

The next day, I woke up earlier than usual to prepare our breakfast. I think being a single Dad is not that easy. I prepared her favorite pancakes and right after I set the table, Sooyun walks in the dining room who is still groggy.

"Good morning, little Princess." I greeted her with a smile.

"Good morning, Appa." She replied and walks to her chair.

I pulled her chair for her and she curved a smile. I took a seat on my chair and I noticed that she looked happier today than usual.

"Appa, soon Umma will be joining us, right?"

"That would be if your Umma want to join us." I replied.

"Just do your best Appa in snatching her away from that guy." She cheered me and I just laugh in response.

This kid, I don't know where did she gets her persistence from
