Chapter 17

KRYSTAL's POV

There is no need for him to introduce himself anymore. From the moment I saw him at the elevator I already know who he is. Amber Joseph Liu, the guy whom I love first and who hurt me the most. He took me for granted before and now, I won't let him deceive my heart again. I think the table had been turned, he is the one who is after me and worst he is claiming that we have a child.

"Stop kidding me! I understand if you will deny her in public but don't deny her to me!" he said and I can see the rage in his eyes.

"You are really out of your mind, aren't you? I don't have a child! We don't have a child! We haven't fuck and we'll never will!" I retorted.

Seriously, what's wrong with him?

He looked at me and then he broke our eye contact then let out a sigh. I felt that my heart will going to burst because of those eyes staring back at me. I have been dreaming for too long for him to notice me, to look in my way and I can't believe that it is happening now. I didn't expect that it will take him almost ten years to do that, the time when I'm no longer free.

"I-I have to go." He said and left.

I looked at him until he disappeared in my sight. I wish what he was saying is true, that we have a child but unfortunately, we don't.

"Sooyun huh, I like the kid's name though." I muttered and sighed.

My attention was transferred to this guy who called me. He is catching his breath when he approached me.

"Did I make you wait too long?"he asked after he regained his composure.

He is Onew, my manager and only real friend in showbiz world. He is just a few years older than me and he takes care of me like a family, he and his wife Luna.

"Not really. So what do you want to talk about?"

"Mr. Lee Sooman wants you to report in his office tomorrow."

"Aish! What does he wants now? Can't I have a break?"I complained.

"He wants to discuss something with you."

"Do you have any idea what it is?" I asked.

"They didn't tell me the whole details but Lee Sooman wants you to do a project abroad. In your hometown, in California. This is what you are waiting for, right?"

It's true, I had been waiting to work on a project abroad, in the place where I can possibly see Amber again but he is here. What's the point of going there if the person I longed to see is already here, within my grasp?

"I don't want that project." I told him and I can see the confused expression on his face.

"What? A-Are you sure?"

"Yeah. I'm not interested to accept any projects abroad."

"I understand." he sighed. "But you must still report to Mr. Lee tomorrow."

"Ugh! Can't you see him for me? Tell him I'm sick or something!"

"You know I am not good at lying Soojung. Report to him tomorrow and that's an order as your manager." he spoke.

"Fine!" I rolled my eyes on him.

"Anyway, what change your mind?" he asked me curiously.

"Changed my mind in what?" I questioned him, pretending to be clueless.

"Working abroad. Does Minho don't allow you to take projects from abroad?"

"N-No. I just don't feel accepting any projects in abroad anymore." I replied to him.

"You know you can tell me anything Soojung." he said to me.

AMBER's POV

I walked back to the hotel being confused as hell. I know Krystal wasn't lying. I saw it in her eyes that she wasn't. I saw the same truth in Sooyun's eyes. When I was about to enter the hotel, someone called me that caused me to stop in my trance.

"Lee Teamin." I called him.

"Good evening Sir." he greeted me politely.

"Call me Amber, there's no need for you to be so formal." I replied.

"My apologies, Amber."

"How did you know that we are here?" I questioned him curiously.

"I'm your daughter's guardian so it's my job to look after her wherever she is." he replied to me curving a smile.

"Then I think you can answer my questions."

"That's what I came to see you."
