Beach

Cinder was working in her office when she heard the door open she didn't even glance up to see who or what it was. Assuming it was an Android she kept working.

"Hey." A fimaular voice said, that definitely was not an Android's.

Cinder looked up from her work and saw Kai peering down at her.

Smiling he asked "What are you doing?"

"Work. " Cinder answered. Looking back at her portscreen she started typing.

"What kind of work? " Kai asked curiously.

Sighing Cinder set the portscreen down and stared at him.

Raising a eyebrow Cinder kept staring at him. Kai swayed nervously on his heels.

"Isn't distracting me Thorne's job? " Cinder inquired.

"Who says I can't fill in for him? " Kai questioned.

They were both silent for a few moments until Kai's portscreen went off.

Kai looked at it for a few seconds then said "Hey Cinder. Cress and Thorne are at the beach in Hawaii. Do you want to the one here? "

Cress and Thorne were traveling the world and they were currently in Hawaii. Cinder has the feeling Kai was a bit jealous.

"Ummm I guess. "

"Awesome!" Kai grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the room.

After they got changed into their bathing suits, Kai pushed her into a pod ship. When they sat down he smiled at her.

" soooo Cinder what's your favorite part about the beach?"

" I don't know." Cinder started to get embarrassed all of a sudden.

" just pick something, anything" Kai for some reason was really excited.

" I've never been to the beach." Cinder whispered.

"What? "

" I have never been to the beach." Cinder said a bit louder.

"Really?" Kai said astonished.

"Yeah. "

Kai smiled and said " well I'm glad I'm going to be the first one take you"

Cinder bit down on her lip and stared out the window.

They finally arrived and they stepped out of the Podship onto the warm sand. The sun hit Cinder's eyes, blinding her. Before she could even think Kai was pushing her towards the water. Right before they got to the water Cinder stopped.

"Kai I can't get my Cyborg parts wet." She said hoping he would buy the excuse and she could go back to the palace.

Kai stared at her and said "Cinder. You are terrible at lying."

Kai suddenly pushed her into the water. Swimming to the surface she glared at him. He was smiling and laughing. Cinder could see a faint blush on his ears and she couldn't help but laugh.

They spent the entire day at the beach and it was now sunset. Cinder's head was resting on Kai's chest with her eyes closed. Opening her eyes Cinder stared at the sunset.

"It's Beautiful. " She said.

"Still not as Beautiful as you."  Kai replied.
