He had moved into his new apartment two days ago and his TV just arrived.
The problem was he had no clue how to set it up. After reading the instructions for the 15th time, he decided it was hopeless.
Kai knew he had to ask someone for help, but that just led him to another problem. He had just moved to Chicago for work and left all of his friends and family behind.
Kai realized that he was just going to suck it up and call customer service, and wait on hold of at least an hour.
Or he could ask one of his neighbours to help him................
NOPE! Definitely not that. Kai's goal for today was to not end up in a awkward situation.
Sighing out Kai reached for his phone, only to find out that it's dead.
Great. Just great.
Kai searched around his apartment for his charger. After about ten minutes of looking around Kai accepted that it was gone.
" I really don't need a TV " Kai thought. But that was a lie and he knew it.
Sighing out Kai steeped out if his apartment, and knocked on the door across from his.
The door swung open to reveal a young woman.
Her hair was pulled into a tight ponytail, and she was wearing a Harry Potter T-shirt and jeans.
She was actually kinda cute.
Tilting her head to the side she asked " Ummmmmmm, can I help you? "
"Oh, yeah, ummm....... I just moved in and I was wondering if you could help me set up my TV. " Kai rubbed the back of his neck, he could feel his face getting red.
" Well this is awkward." Kai thought.
"yeah, why not? I'm Cinder by the way. "
" Ummmmmmm, oh yeah, I'm Kai. "
Cinder pressed her lips together, trying to suppress her laughter.
Fumbling with his keys, Kai unlocked the door and let Cinder inside.
" smooth Kai. Smoooooth " Kai thought.
"Thanks for helping me. " Kai said, not entirely sure why he was so nervous.
"No problem." Cinder shot him a fleeting smile before picking up the instructions.
*~~*time lapse*~~*
About an hour later they were finished.
" Thank you so much. I would've never figured out how to do that on my own. "
" Really, Kai, it was nothing."
Just before she walked out the door Kai stopped her.
" Hey, Cinder?"
" Yeah? "
" Do you want to hangout sometime?"
She smiled at him before answering him. " Yeah I'd love to."
When Cinder shut the door behind her Kai let a huge smile cross his face. Suddenly not mad about his phone dieing.
Kai sighed out when he realized he still needed to find a charger.......
