About an hour later I arrived at the Kachina Peaks Wilderness. I got out of my car and started to walk into the woods. I looked at my phone and checked the time. It was 5:00 p.m. I looked up and noticed the sun was starting to set. It was also starting to get really cold. "Good thing I brought my jacket and scarf," I reassured myself. Grooowl! I froze and got down. "Are there really bears here?" I whispered. The growl got more inense. Groooowl! That's when I realized. It's my stomach growling. I'm hungry! I got up and kept walking. I pulled out the beef jerky I brought with me. "I knew this would come in handy." I unfolded the back, but before I got a chance to open it, I heard a faint, Beep! I stopped walking and put the bag away. I looked up in the trees just to be safe. Beep! I looked around to see if I could see the blinking anywhere. Beep! Out of the corner of my eye I saw the flash.I started to walk towards it and the beeping began to get a little more clearer. Beep! Before I knew it I was standing in front a mound of rocks on the side of the mountain. It looked as if the flash were coming from a hole in the rocks. I got down and tried to see if I could reach it. No good. I got down flat on my stomach and tried again. Still no good. I stood up just in time to hear a noise come from the woods. Crack!
