He pressed a button on the controller. At that moment, metal shutters came down over all the doors and windows. We were locked in. I looked back at Cory and became afraid, afraid for him. His face had a huge, eerie smile, almost like he was insane. He had bags under his eyelids. Has he had any sleep lately? He pressed another button on the controller, and all of a sudden there were alarms going off. One by one I heard room doors opening all at once. And one by one, multiple people came out of each one.About a minute later, we were surrounded by multiple people, all circled around me and Tristen. “So,” I looked back up to Cory as he spoke, “We could do this the easy way, or the hard way! Your choice. Either you peacefully agree to stay here with me, or, you can never have the chance to leave!” I looked back to all the men who were surrounding us. It didn’t look good, not good at all. Some of the men had black police batons, so if I chose to fight I’d have to be careful. I took a deep breath and went to set Tristen down. But before I could realize it, before anyone could, Tristen ran out from under my arm and punched the man in front of us square in the face. I looked back at him and so did everyone else, all in shock. I grinned, “Hard way it is.”
