z nation: 10k and Cassandra one shots

So this is just an alternative ending for zombie baby daddy and I might just keep this version and change the zombie baby daddy in the other story.
(10k's point of view)

Groaning in pain I turned around pushing myself off the ground looking for cassandra,shaking my head I looked around me till I saw cassandra glaring at me as she was getting ready to jump on me "cassandra?" I asked again swallowing when she yelled at me. Sighing I quickly turned on my heels to run but cassandra pounce on me making me fall on my right shoulder as she pinned me with her knees jammed into my ribs only proving to make it more difficult for me to breath. Immediately my arms go to her shoulders to push her off me but Cassandra placed her right hand on my chin and her left hand at the back of my neck "please- cassandra. I'm begging you" I whimpered when I heard the crack of bones and a sharp pain rush threw my spin.

Ignoring me cassandra continued to break my neck and I know she's taking her time because I've seen her kill people in matter of seconds but here she is taking her sweet time to finish me off. Blinking away the tears of the pain and knowing what I have to do to end this suffering I move my right hand to my boot trying to grab a hold of my knife so I can mercy her,with another crack of bones I screamed bringing my right hand up and to her neck just as the pain stopped getting worse, looking up I saw clarity in her eyes as some blood came out of her mouth and fall on my cheek. Before I knew it her body fell on top of mine and I hugged her starting to let tears fall,I killed my girlfriend before she could kill me. I stayed like this for awhile, hugging cassandra's dead body for the last time.

Carefully pushing cassandra's body off me I got up and grabbed a shovel starting to dig a grave so I can bury her because I remember her telling me if she ever did die she wanted to be buried and I wanted to at least give her peace of not being disturb. As I was digging memories of us flowed my mind and I counted every single one so I won't end up breaking down like I did when I mercy my pa. When I did a pretty good size grave I picked up cassandra's body bridal style looking at her facial features because for the first time since Murphy bit her she actually looks relaxed "I'm sorry cassandra, I had to. I will always remember the moments we spent together, all 4,364 of them" I whispered laying down cassandra in her post-z apocalypses grave. Running my fingers threw her hair I placed a gentle kiss on her forehead then got out and started to cover her with dirt.

It didn't take long for me to finish and for everyone including the jackass,Murphy, to come back. Warren asked where's cassandra and Addy looked at me and realized what I did "you killed her! She was are friend and your fucking girlfriend. She was like a sister to me!" Addy yelled hitting me and I grabbed her hands.

"That wasn't the girl we knew and the girl I fell in love with" I said softly making Addy break down and start crying on the floor, biting my lower lip I looked at warren, Vazquez, and doc who had the same expression,sadness. Murphy cleared he's throat and we all looked at him.

"I gave her life and you had no damn right to take it away from her!" Murphy yelled running to me but warren stopped him,Murphy looked pissed that warren stopped him but he looked at me in disgust "I guess your need to get to ten thousand kills is more important than the girl you 'loved' well congrats 10 cents,you can add another kill to your count. 3,487" this is time I ran to Murphy but Vazquez stopped me but I didn't stop trying.

"I'll kill you!" I yelled as warren yelled for us to shut up and doc kept Addy from kicking me.

"You already killed cassandra,who's next besides me!?" Murphy yelled back and warren pushed him back treating to kill him if he steps closer. Turning to face me warren glared at me before saying.

"10k same for you,don't come near Murphy or else- cassandra?" Pushing Vazquez away I feel on my knees starting to cry yelling at them.

"I get it! I killed her,stop making me feel like shit because I can do that on my own!" I yelled and doc kneeled next to turning me around to look at cassandra's grave.

The dirt started moving and her left hand came out of the surface then her right one. Moving back a little I grabbed a hold of my knife as cassandra emerged with her eyes closed. Addy got up and took a step forward when cassandra got up and stretched her arms and cracked her knuckles. No one moved besides cassandra who yawned before she open her eyes to look at us. "Come here Cassandra,we are leaving" Murphy order as I got up and he stood right next to me, when he barked he's order cassandra didn't looked shock but she slowly moved towards him. Rolling my eyes I turned around walking away when I heard a slap and Murphy scream in pain "what the hell!?" But I didn't bother to look back because I know warren slapped him, she's the only who slaps him.

"So no hug 10k?"

"What?" I asked turning back around to face everyone, Murphy was on the floor holding he's cheek while doc and warren helped him,Addy and Vazquez were happy someone finally slapped Murphy hard enough to knock him down then cassandra was looking at me worried.

"No hug? Did I do something wrong?" Blinking my eyes I walked over to her and put my right hand on her cheek looking into her eyes,clarity and her speech was completely fine.

"No you didn't, I did" I whispered pulling her into a bone crushing hug that she quickly returned just as hard "I've missed you so much"

"I missed you too,there were so many days I wanted nothing more than just to hug you" cassandra whispered back and I smiled. My cassandra is back.
