(Narrator's point of view)

Kernel william was throwing another party for another day of no accidents,and it happened to be a dance party.

10k was seating down at a table as he saw he's friends that were like family to him and Cassandra aka he's crush dancing around having fun,the reason he wasn't there was because he never danced before with being homeschool and he's pa only teaching about weapons. Sighing 10k took he's water bottle taking a huge gulp letting the cold drink calm him down.

"10k come on i danced for an hour or so and you still haven't even took a step on the dance floor" mack said seating next to 10k "it won't kill you"

"Mack i told you already... I don't know how to dance" 10k said shyly looking at he's boots like he always does when he's around Cassandra.

"And you think we care? Half the people up there don't know the definition of dancing" mack stated pointing to a couple of people "and they don't care, the people who know how to dance don't care"

"Yeah but i bet they aren't trying to impress there crush" sucking in he's cheek 10k scratched the back of he's head looking over at Cassandra dancing with addy "she dances like she's been doing it since birth,i don't even know the first steps to dance anything"

"Question. Can you walk?" mack asked raising an eyebrow at 10k who just nodded "there you go, moving your hips,legs and hands are the main part of dancing... Mostly the hips"

"I'm not going up there... Ever" mack got up because addy was signaling him to go with her "have fun"

"10k she's not going to kill you only because you can't dance... she'll probably kill you if keep staring at her and being a wimp cuz you won't tell her how you feel " mack said turning 10k's head so he'll stop looking at Cassandra "stop staring at her unless you're going to dance with her"

"I rather stay here"

(10k's point of view)

Mack left a while back to continued dancing with addy. Cassandra came and sat next to me making me look at my boots.

"Hey 10k,how come your not dancing with everybody else?" Cassandra asked drinking some water "you should be having fun"

"I... Am having fun?" i said more like a question than a statement "i like to sit around and do nothing"

"Huh uh... Come on let's dance at least one song,it won't kill you trying something new" Cassandra said grabbing my hand pulling me up and to the floor "ready?"

"Cassandra... I-i... Umm you see i" Cassandra looked at me confused and i looked down "don't know how to dance"

"I'm sorry i couldn't hear you"

"I don't know how to dance" i said a little louder and i guess Cassandra heard me cuz she giggled.

"10k it's ok if you don't know how to cuz I'll show you" Cassandra pulled me closer putting wrapping her hand around my neck pulling me a little down since I'm like three inches taller "ok now you wrap your arms around my waist"

"Cassandra why are you doing this? Isn't this a too fast of a song?" i babbled keeping my hands in my pocket and looking down.

"A. I'm doing this to thank you for all the times you saved me. B. Relax and do what i say. First wrapped your arms around me and look at me,i won't bite" i slowly looked down at Cassandra wrapping my arms around her waist pulling her into me "ok so now just follow my lead and keep your eyes on me"

The dj started to play a slow song seeing that couples were comeing up copying me and cassandra... Well Cassandra because i wasn't really moving.

"Run!" someone yelled and that was followed by about two gunshots "zs!"

"We have to go Cassandra" i said happy because i know I'll embarrass myself and that's something i don't need.

"What about the others? Warren, addy, mack, doc, Garnett Murphy!" Cassandra yelled and i grabbed her forearm pulling her to an exit killing a few zs and counting in my head.

(Cassandra's point of view)

Me and 10k been running for an hour to get away from the zs. Out of breath we stopped for a minute but more gunshots were heard a few feet behind us.

"Cassandra the tree" 10k said pointing to the tree in front of us, nodding i jumped grabbing a steady limb and climb as some survivors ran under us followed by zs "we should be safe up here"

Neither of us spoke and instead of feeling tension like you read in books i actually felt relaxed,and by the looks of it 10k is kinda relax but thinking. Another few minutes passed before i decided to break the silents.

"10k i think its safe enough to get down" jumping down i looked around as 10k got down as well.

"Your right,let's go look for the others and forget tonight" 10k grabbed my forearm to drag me with him but i stood my ground "Cassandra we need to go"

"I never said forget tonight,I'm still going to teach you... At least a slow song" i moved my hand out of he's grasp and 10k bit he's lip walking backwards as i moved forward "why don't you want to learn?"

"It's complicated" backing up to a tree 10k looked down at me because i was getting close to him "Cassandra maybe I'll tell you someday,but not today"

"10k listen to me carefully" i waited till 10k nodded before i continued "someday is today. Now tell me"

"Ok... Um i... Look... I miss mack" 10k yelled which was obviously a lie so i decided to tease him till he told me... When did a little tease ever hurt anyone? "Cassandra?"

"Yeah 10k" batting my eyelashes i ran my finger up and down he's arm,10k bit down on he's lips to stop him from moaning "are you ok?"

"Ca..ss.... I" 10k mumbled and run my hand up he's left chest to he's neck tugging he's jet black hair.

"Tell me" i whispered in he's ear biting him slightly "please tell me"

"Fine" smirking 10k put he's hands on my waist and looked down "i like you"

"I couldn't hear you"

"Cassandra i lik-love you" before i was able to process what 10k said he pressed he's lips against mine,i felt him smile which brought a smile to my lips. After a few minutes i patted he's chest breaking the kiss "Cassandra I've been wanting to say that since i meet you"
