it's been over a week since tyler met the ruby girl, now known as cassie. for some reason he misses her yet he's only met her once.

currently, tyler is heading to his favourite coffee shop 'house of gold'.

he gets his coffee and then walks outside, where a few tables are located. he randomly takes a seat at one of the tables and then pulls out a pen and his notebook.

tyler loves to write here, house of gold is not too far away from his apartment so he comes here as often as he can.

he finds it so much more peaceful here than writing at home, here he can listen to the soft chirping of the birds, smell the warm coffee brewing inside and, if he's early enough, he observes the sunrise.

sunrises are one of tyler's favourite things; not only do they have pure beauty but they remind him that each day is a new day and he can start over and make each day as beautiful as the sunrise he got up at 6am for.

when he begins writing tyler pours his feelings onto the page, losing himself in his poem. he takes small sips from his coffee every once in a while but doesn't notice somebody approach him until her soft voice fills his ears.

"tyler?" she says.

he knows it's her, the person he's waited all week to see.

"hey cassie." he responds slowly looking up at her with a smile.

"can i sit?" she asks gesturing to the empty chair opposite the clearly nervous boy.

"uh, sure." he replies.

"whatcha doing?" asks the brunette girl, placing her warm drink on the table before pulling out the mahogany chair and sitting down.

"just writing, poetry." mumbles tyler.

"i love poetry." cassie smiles, "you should let me read some of yours sometime?"

"uh, yeah, sure." he replies.

tyler has never let anyone read any of his work before, it's private and he feels like people may judge him.

"cool. but for now could i get your number?"

he agrees and they exchange phones, after spending minutes pondering on what to save his contact name as on her phone, he settles on just 'tyler', while cassie just hurriedly types out her number and 'cassie'.

"thanks. i'll text you later?" she says.

"yeah, see you soon- oh and have a nice day!" tyler waves.

cassie walks away giggling, he's such a dork.
