"Did you wanna..."
"Nah, I'm good."
"O-Okay." Stiles' eyes widen, his face a full on blush as soon as they'd arrived at the doctors. He had offered his hand to Lydia as a distraction but she seemed to be taking the whole male doctor looking at her...you know...fairly well. For Stiles it was just one of those awkward moments.

He didn't know whether to sit or stand, to stay by her side or go off to give her some privacy. His anxiousness at times had bothered her but she didn't want him to leave.
"Right on schedule. You should be here again next Thursday for the baby's arrival." The doctor stands from his seat causing Lydia to sigh of relief and close her legs.

They thank the man before heading on their way. Stiles opened Lydia's door for her like he usually does before getting behind the wheel with a sigh.
"You alright?" She asks. Something seemed to be bothering him. He nods before pulling out of the parking lot.

"So are you guys-"
"Together? I have no clue." Stiles cuts Scott off, his knee bobbing up and down in a rapid pace. They were back at Scott's house again, the boys trying to distract Isaac who had been there all week much to Scott's disappointment. Stiles sat at the edge of the death chair with the other two perched on the bed, game controllers in hand.

"She forgave you and kisses you. It sounds like you're together." Isaac butts in. Stiles shakes his head.
"No but we've kissed before it doesn't define us. As far as she's concerned us kissing is probably just a friendship thing by now." He's cut off by his ringing cell, telling the boys to pause the game. It was her.

"Lyds?"
"Stiles you need to come pick me up right now." She winces and he practically flies out of the chair.
"You okay? What's wrong? What's happening?" He asks frantically. By the time he was to the door his friends were only halfway down the stairs behind him.
"M-my mom isn't home and," she groans, not really needing to finish her sentence.

"Alright just stay on the phone with me. Can you do that?" He asks, mouthing for Scott to follow him in his mom's car. The phone call never ended as the jeep probably broke fifty laws in that moment. They were at the Martin's in minutes, getting Lydia in the car before taking off towards the hospital.
"Dr.shithead said it wasn't supposed to be till next Thursday!" Lydia groans and Stiles almost wants to laugh but of course he doesn't.

As soon as they pull into the hospital, Isaac pulls open the passenger door, giving Stiles enough time to get out of his own side without Lydia having to wait for him. The four of them walked fast as possible through the front doors, instantly greeted by Melissa. The rest was a blur. Taking her back to the room, Isaac and Scott waiting out in the hall, Lydia gripping Stiles hand so hard he was sure it'd be bruised.

But once she was done and everything had claimed, he'd never been happier.
"You did good." Stiles whispers in Lydia's ear with a smile, kissing her gently on the forehead. He leaves her to the nurses before following his child out of the room with a grin bigger than the sun itself. With curious eyes, he watches as they clean her up, making sure they were careful with her all the while.

And a moment later he was following them back into the room to an exhausted Lydia. She smiles and the nurse offers her the child but she shakes her head causing Stiles to momentarily freak out.
"You first." She points to him. The nurse turns around and a few awkward noises leave his lips as she passes the surprisingly child off before leaving.

At first he was stiff, staring down at the thing as though at any moment it would bare fangs. But then he studies her tiny, delicate features and a small chuckle escapes him.
"Welcome to the world baby girl." He coos, Claudia making a small whimper in response. He glances up at Lydia before sitting in the chair next to her bed, carefully handing her the baby.

It was a funny thing. After all these years of death and destruction, a new life had finally been born.

Authors note:

The picture above hurts me on so many levels.

Btw someone ( thank you @royaljasonblue 😉) mentioned making a sequel and I didn't really think about that before. Sooooo comment and let me know if y'all want one! Cause if so I'll probably end this book with Lydia having the baby.

Comment, read, enjoy!
