Chapter Twenty One

"Listen, I hate shit like this and if I didn't think it would be fun I wouldn't have dragged you along with me." Tomina mumbled leading us to the front door of a white house. "Plus V will be here."

I rolled my eyes, "Everyone is basically here." I said following closely behind her as we waited on the porch for someone to open the door.

"Finally, we've been waiting for you." Kai said letting us in.

This was my first time at his house. He led us to the living room where V, Jackson, Mark and Keeley were. As Tomina and Kai shared the love seat I took the seat my V who was in a deep conversation with Jackson. This was pretty awkward but from the way Tomina and Kai were looking at me I'm pretty sure this was a setup.

"So you guys are dating right?" Keeley asked pointing between me and V.

I didn't know what to say.

V chuckled, "Well we're not-"

"They're dating." an all too familiar voice said.

I looked up to see Zayn walking out of the kitchen. Of course he'd be here.

"They were hugging and whatnot the other day during our triple date." Kai mumbled making me roll my eyes.

"We aren't dating, we're not exactly there yet." V said looking at me then at Zayn. "It's taking a while since Violet here doesn't exactly feel the same way about me yet."

Now I was confused. What the hell is going on?

Zayn chuckled, "Yeah, same thing happened when we dated." he added.

Before he could say anything else, there was a knock on the door. Kai went to get the door and to my surprise a face I didn't think I would see came walking in, it was Katie, the girl that dated Calum. I know I basically cut them out of my life but I still kept tabs on them. I shouldn't be that surprised that she's here, I mean she is Tomina's cousin.

"Hey love," she smiled sitting beside Jackson. I guess they're a thing now.

"Have you guys heard Z's new song he recorded?" Tomina asked. "It's so good. Zayn's voice is magic."

I knew he sang I mean it was one of the first things he's shared with me but I never heard him actually sing. He made me a mix while in Cali and gave it to me when he came back but I never had the guts to actually listen to it because I know I'll probably be a mess. I've heard from a lot of people that Zayn's voice was amazing sadly I never got the chance to witness it myself.

Zayn smiled, "They're not all that great but the guy I'm working on music with actually put together a bunch of stuff and made me like an album."

"Mark and I are in this group we should do something together." Jackson said making Tomina roll her eyes. "It's me, Mark, JB, Bam-"

"Oh yeah, there's seven of you, right? That's be sick, we should hit the studio sometime." Zayn suggested.

The more he talked about his singing the more I felt sad that I never actually got the chance to hear him sing.

"What songs are on your album?" V asked looking over at Zayn who was leaning against the love seat Kai and Tomina were on.

Zayn then looked over at me, "I gave Violet a mix when I got back full of a bunch of demos and I basically just re-recorded them and the guy put them together for me." he answered.

"So, is it any good?" Kai asked causing everyone to look at me.

"Well, I actually never listened to it."

They all kind of just stared at me.

Tomina cleared her throat, "Okay, lets eat." she said changing the subject.
