Chapter Twenty Six

"You're such a dork." I laughed walking into class beside V. "You didn't call me last night to do the homework, I had to stay up by myself googling the answers."

"I fell asleep, sorry." he apologized pulling my seat out for me. "I ended up copying Jackson anyways."

"More like you took the paper out of my hands giving me no choice." Jackson said making me laugh. "I worked really hard okay."

I rolled my eyes, "I should have just done that." I mumbled watching as the class began to fill up. "I can't wait for school to end, I hate this place."

"You won't get to see me every day, though." he jokingly pouted.

"So you're saying we won't hang out over the summer?"

He smiled, "Of course, we are. Summer would be boring without you-"

"Oh god," Tomina sighed taking the seat across from us. "Enough with this flirting it's gross."

Before I could respond the bell rang. It was a normal day in class taking down notes and reading a couple of articles, the only thing weird was Tomina, who was half asleep on the desk across from me. Usually she's all loud and energetic but today she looks dead.

"Since when do you drink coffee?" I asked picking up her empty coffee cup.

She slightly lifted her head up, "I don't but today I want to die so I had no choice. I only had like 30 minutes of sleep okay."

"Why? It's not like you have a boyfriend." Mark mumbled causing her to throw her textbook at him.

"I was up with Zayn last night, the kid's just like me, we got our hearts broken." she muttered laying her head back down on the table. "Best friend goals, am I right?"

I almost choked, "Zayn and Gigi broke up?" I nearly screamed. "But they're like perfect."

"Yeah he broke up with her." she answered. "I swear, the boy is always trying to one up me."

I can't believe this. Zayn and Gigi broke up. The perfect beautiful amazing couple broke up. I'm like genuinely shocked and a little upset. He seemed so in love with her though and vice versa. I really thought they were going to last.

"Damn, is he okay?" I asked leaning back against my chair. "Why did they break up?"

She raised her head to give me a look, "I can't disclose what we talked about but it was a pretty sad break up like I was even shocked. He woke me up at 2 am wrapped up in a blanket on my porch."

"It was that bad?" V asked not looking up from his paper.

"Yup."

No words were exchanged after that, mostly cause she fell asleep but also because it got a bit awkward. The rest of class was spent pretending to read while resting my head comfortably on V's shoulder daydreaming about random stuff. School is almost over, thankfully, so there's not much to do besides read or watch documentaries.

"We're going to be late." V whispered.

I groaned lifting my head, finally noticing that, besides Tomina knocked out on the desk, the class was empty. I gathered my things as V tried his best to wake up Tomina. It didn't end well she lashed out at him and stormed out the room mumbling something about being annoying. I give props to V for walking me to class even though he got screamed at and also that we were very late.

"Have fun in art," he smiled before walking back down the hall to his math class.

"Late again." Mr.Johnson said as I attempted to walk into class unnoticed.
