(Maya's POV)

Darkness.
That's all I see right now.

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.
That's all I hear right now.

I slowly opened my eyes and a bright light shone up ahead. I squinted and looked around to find myself in a bed with IVs in my hands, and a monitor beside me which was beeping.

I realized that I was in a hospital when suddenly, the door flew open and Ben came barging in with wide eyes and concern laced within them.

"How are you feeling?" He asked softly while standing beside me.

My heart raced at his closeness. He had bags under his eyes like he hadn't slept in weeks.

"Good but what happened and how long have I been here?" I asked with a very dry throat.

Ben turned to the table beside the bed and poured a glass of water for me which he then gave to me.

I instantly gulped it down and in came Kelli followed by Quinn and two other people that I didn't recognize.

I was then engulfed in a bone crashing hug by Kelli and Ben moved to the far corner of the room stood.

Kelli opened her mouth to say something but I beat her to it.

"What happened and how long have I been here?" I questioned.

They all avoided eye contact with me and didn't say anything. I grabbed Kelli's hand and forced her to look at me.

She gave up but hesitated before telling me everything that happened. He told me that I had been in a coma ever since the surgery and it's been about a week.

My eyes were as big as flying saucers by the time she finished explaining.

How could I do this to my friends? I bet they hate me now. It's all my fault!

I started crying repeatedly apologizing for what I had done to them.

"Hey, hey it's fine. It wasn't your fault. You were being controlled but the demons." Kelli reassured me.

I looked up and saw Ben leaving quietly out the door.

Before I could say anything else, the nurse came in and told me that I was free to go home.

We all walked out of the to find Ben leaning against the wall casually while in deep thought.

I went up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. He jerked up.

"Oh um let's go." He said and started walking towards the group.

We all exited the hospital and started walking down the streets until we reached a huge mansion. I was awestruck by its beautiful garden outside.

There was a gate that connected to a path in the middle that lead to the huge mansion.

The boy that I didn't know stepped up to the gate and raised his arms and a huge gust of wind blew past me towards the gate which caused it to open.

So he must be the air elemental, I thought out loud.

They all turned to me confused when realization suddenly hit them.

The girl and boy stepped forward.

"Hi I'm Valery but you can call me Val and this is Jake. He's the air and I'm the earth." Val explained as shook my hand.
