chapter seven

•Serene's Pov•
It's been 3 hours and Ethan still hasn't come back.  I trust him, but in worried he might do something dangerous. I decided to call my mom.

"Mom?"

"Serene's are you ok?"

"Mom I'm fine, how is Kayden?" 

"We are all at the hospital now, Serene he's tough, but the doctors don't know if he can get through this."

I started to cry on the phone.

"Mom, please, do everything you can."

"Why don't you and the boys fly out here for a bit, he misses you guys."

"Ok we'll take the red eye tomorrow night, bye mom love you."

"Love you, tell the boys I love them too."

I put my phone down and told Grayson about our traveling plans. He went upstairs and started to pack with a blank face. I checked the time. 11:30. Where is Ethan??

I walked to the front door, and opened it. Outside I saw Ethan sitting on the stairs railing just thinking and crying.

"Ethan where did you go?" I cried running over to him and hugging him.

"Nowhere, I just sat here." He admitted.

"I'm so glad you are ok, I was so worried about you." I said kissing his cheek.

"I'm not the one you should be worried about, Kayden is..." He breathed.

"About that, we are flying to New Jersy tomorrow night at 12:30." I explained.

"Oh good, I'll start packing." He decided standing up.

We walked inside and upstairs. I dragged our suitcases out from under the bed. We packed all our essentials.

When we were done I went into the bathroom and took off all of my makeup. I walked into my closet and put some shorts, and Ethan's old varsity Lacrosse sweatshirt.

I got into bed and laid cuddled up to him. I put my head on his chest, and played with his hand. He played with my hair until we both drifted off to sleep.

Skip to the airport

We walked into the airport and about 40 fans came up to us at once. We took a few pictures, and got through the crowd. We could never be rude to our fans, we love them.

We went through security and sat down at our gate. It was 11:45 and Ethan was so tired that he fell asleep with his head in my lap. I played with his hair and pretended to style it. Grayson watched me fool around, until he broke the silence.

"I still don't get what you see in him." He laughed.

"To be honest, neither do I. I guess just everything. I love you guys. We've been together through thick and thin, losing you guys was the worst time of my life." I smiled at him.

A big smile grew on his face.

"Serene Ethan loves you, he literally talks about you so much, I am definitely so glad you came back." Grayson expressed. "I just really hope Kayden makes it through this."

He looked down and sulked. I grabbed his hand to comfort him.

"Hey, Kayden is a tough guy. Let's live in the present and not worry about the future. Whatever happens, happens." I explained trying to give him hope, but not too much.

"Thanks Serene, we'll all get through this together." He admitted giving me a weak smile.

"Flight 209 LA to New Jersey now boarding." The intercom spoke.

Ethan suddenly got up with really messy hair.

"Wow bro, looks like fairies played with your hair." Grayson said laughing.

"Yeah I know a really pretty fairy that likes to play with my hair." Ethan said.

"Oh yeah?  Tell me about her."  I demanded.

"Well she's very beautiful, but you don't want to fight with her, she always wins.  She has been my best friend forever, and I never want to lose her.  I love her with all my heart." Ethan described.

"I think I know her, we know eachother so well, we're like the same people."  I said playing along.

"Wow...its been like 4 years and you guys still haven't changed."  Grayson interrupted.

We all got on the plane.  I sat in the middle of Ethan and Grayson.  Within seconds both boys fell asleep, and soon after so did I.
