Please don't leave me

Please don't leave me

I'm always saying how I don't need you

But it's always gonna come right back to this

Please, don't leave me...

******ALEXIS' P.O.V.******

EXACTLY ONE MONTH, SEVEN DAYS, TWENTY-THREE MINUTES, AND FIVE SECONDS AGO, was all it took for my life to go from rainbows, unicorns, and happy faces to miserable teardrops, storm clouds, and boxes upon boxes of tissues!

I had a great life before my mom decided to destroy it with a nuclear missile called "BYRAN" and his two spawns from hell! Turns out what I thought would last forever, would really only last till the end of summer. That's when my mom announced over 'Tuesday's Taco Fiesta Night', that my dad and she had filed for a divorce.

Yeah, you heard that right! Right before my senior year of high school she decided to ruin it by divorcing my dad and I never saw it coming!

I cried for about a week. When I finally pulled myself together and tried to find out why this was all happening in the first place, I was left with nothing more than a 'make sure to come visit me' speech from my dad. It sounded like he'd snatched it from youtube or one of those 'how to' books.

Dad told me he'd decided to move to New York for a so called "better work opportunity." And of all places... New York! That was exactly 3470 miles away from where I'm going to be living next year.

That's right, they were expecting me to go pack my bags and move. I'd have to leave all my friends behind! Like all of this hasn't been hard enough on me. They just had to go and make things worse!

As far as I and everyone else knew, my parents were the most loving parent's around.

This whole divorce thing had to be some kind of joke right!

Right?

But as it turns out, mom negotiated with dad that I would be staying with him for the summer one last time before I was taken away to the land of tea and biscuits. Goodbye Boston and hello London?

It took me some time to break it to my friends about the divorce. But it took only seconds for me to announce the one-way trip to London friggin England! It was only logical that I had to leave my friends and make new ones in London. But I knew there was no way I'd be able to put up with any of this for long. I told everyone I'd be back soon or at least I'd try to make it back before graduation.
