I had spent the whole night after going to The Boat Side Grill, receiving texts from Taylor and Breanna both. They even went as far as to make a group chat and everything! I kept getting texts asking about the party Andrew invited us to and I kept on ignoring them.
Come Tuesday morning I had already been asked a million and one times. Mostly from Taylor but still! It was just one party! I kept thinking to myself hoping they would give up.
But at lunch I found myself waiting for them alone at our now claimed lunch spot. It didn't take them long to come sit down in front of me quietly... too quietly!
"Yeah it's not happening!" I said as I took a sip of my Dr. Pepper.
"Oh come one we haven't even said anything yet!" Taylor said with a shocked face and a sad tone to her voice.
"No need to! I know what you're going to say and the answer is still no!" I said not giving in one bit.
There was no way I was going to go and I had told them that..... repetitively!
"Come on, it's the first party of the year... and it's bloody Andrew f***ing Dawson that invited us! HOW CAN WE NOT GO?" Taylor said making sure no one around us heard her freaking out about Andrew, like a lovesick puppy!
"Simple! I just tell him I'm not going." I say and smile.
"But... but... but..." Taylor says as she tries to find some convincing thing to make me rethink my choice of not going to this party.
"But nothing! I'm not going..." I say but Breanna interrupts me.
"Well, actually he might think you're blowing him off." She says and I can't help but start to feel bad.
He probably would think that, wouldn't he?
Wait no! Guy's don't even care about these kinds of things... do they?
Omg, their plan is working..... sh*t!
"Wait I'll say I'm having some family dinner thing!" I say excitedly once the idea pops into my head. I look at Taylor and Breanna to see their smile get whipped off of her face.
"Right... and what happens when Tiffany and Amber show up genius?!" Breanna says and I actually have to think about this.
"Ha exactly! You have to come! It's like so not cool if we show up without you!!! You're the reason we are invited." Taylor said not giving up one bit about this stupid party.
"She's right... for once...!" Breanna said and Taylor scowled at her.
That wasn't even close to half of it... I wasn't even sure if I was reading Andrew's signs wrong... or he really was flirting with me!
And if so then what!!!!! Andrew, the guy they both like, likes ME! Yeah, not happening! I'm not going!!!
"He wants us all to come!" Breanna says agreeing with Taylor.
"Yeah and this is like the first party of the year. You're a terrible friend if you don't come with us. Aren't you just a little curious how Tiffany and Amber are going to react seeing you there hanging out with Andrew?" Taylor says and I got to say it sounds tempting.
"Yeah, even I'm interested in that!" Breanna says.
"Errrrrrrr no way! I'm not going!" I say and then all hell breaks loose.
Breanna thinks for a while before smiling at me and I know I'm doomed!
"Fine, you leave me no choice!" She says and before I know it she's yelling.
Wait what!!!!
"Andrew!" Breanna yells as he walks towards our table.
You have got to be kidding me!
"Oh hey, what's up you guys?" Andrew says smiling at us.
I found myself uncontrollably admiring his smile without realizing that Breanna had asked him what time he wanted ALL of us to come at on Friday until it was too late!
"Um is 9:30 good? Most people show up at 9:45 so I always just tell them it starts at 9:30 so everyone is there by 9:45." He says and I have to hand it to him, that's actually pretty brilliant!
Wait nooooo! I can't be finding this brilliant! I'm supposed to be staying away from him!
"Sounds sick we will see you there!" Taylor says giving him a flirty smile and I can't help but roll my eye's.
"I hope so!" He says making direct contact with me. And just like that my point has been proven. I am officially SCREWED!!!!
