******Kyle's P.O.V. ******
After the interview, I had to perform another song, after already having to sing five times for these crazy interviews. I told my manager Mark I only wanted to do the interview, but he didn't tell me I'd have to do the live performances until the second before the show. Luckily I was the only one who didn't know about his plans or we would have had a major problem had the band not known they were playing.
After the performance, we took some photos with the fans and I signed a lot of autographs to the point my hand started cramping and my sharpie had already run out three times.
Living this glamorous life was crazy, but it didn't come without the warnings. My parents told me from the start that it'd get this crazy and so did my managers. I just never expected it to get this crazy this fast! I guess it's a good thing I decided to take the time to go back to school and get a break from all this for a little bit. Just focus on myself and my family for a bit.
I went to go pack up my guitar but when I got there my manager Mark and my publicist Kelly where they're talking to some guys as they started packing all our equipment away.
"Wow, what's going on here?" I asked Mark.
"Oh, I thought it might be a cool idea for you guys to get some new equipment." He said looking at the guitar my dad gave me three years ago like it was a piece of junk.
"What! What's wrong with the ones we have? They work just fine." I said getting defensive.
"They work fine but they don't look it, Kyle. It's time we get you boys looking the part of rock stars, your big don't get me wrong. But with some adjustments, we could have you boys bigger than Adam Smith."
Adam was a musician I had met back when we were both applying to get Mark's record company to work with us. We had become good friends over the wait for them to pick who they wanted. I was so sure that he would get the gig, that I kept saying it to him and boosting him up. Little did I know they had already put my name on all the show dates and my name on the dressing room door.
I felt like shit after I found out he didn't get the spot, I tried to talk Mark and the rest of the board into giving him a spot on their label, but they said he wasn't what they were looking for. But I knew they were wrong!
It only took Adam half a month after that, for him to get signed with the record company that competed with mine. We got booked for the same shows as opening acts and would have to compete against one another for everything.
It really wasn't something I enjoy. "But it's just how it is...." Mark and Kelly would tell me.
I looked over at Jordan who gives me a nod.
"Fine, we'll take the new equipment. But we are still keeping our old ones." I said before storming out of the room.
"Hey mate wait up!" Jordan says yelling down the hall.
