"Babe, wake up,"

Babe? He never calls me babe. Haru woke up. He was extremely tired. But why? He went to sleep when they got home, the sun was up then. He looked out the window. Huh, still dark.

"What time is it?"

Makoto looked at his watch. "10:15."

"Why are you waking me at 10:15 at night?"

"You forgot? We have to go meet up with the swim team."

"I thought that was tomorrow."

"No, silly." Makoto kissed Haru on the neck, making Haru melt a bit inside. "Nagisa said November the 13th. What a peculiar date, right?"

What's so special about November the 13th?

"C'mon," Makoto pulled Haru out of the bed.

"It's a bit chilly," Makoto remarked.

Haru nodded.

"Here, I'll keep you warm," Makoto hugged Haru, and the two lovers walked towards the Iwatobi Swim Club.

"Mako-chan! Haru-chan!" Nagisa shouted.

Rei put his hands over Nagisa's mouth, as if saying that Nagisa was too loud.

"Mako-chan! Haru-chan!" Nagisa lowered his voice.

"Hey, Nagisa, Rei." Makoto whispered.

"Yo," Rin nodded.

The five swimmers snuck into the old swim club, where they chit-chatted about everything that had happened. Nagisa talked about the new swim team members. All Rei talked about was how cute  Nagisa was. Rin complained about how Sousuke was extremely over-protective. It took him forever to get out of the house. Makoto talked about Tokyo, all the changes and such. Haru didn't talk, as usual.

I like talking, but only with people I feel comfortable around. Haru reflected. But I don't get comfortable around anyone. Except Makoto. Makoto is an exception.

Somewhere in their conversation, Rin had brought up old childhood love.

"I had a crush on Haru when we were younger," Rin laughed.

"That's funny, so did I." Haru said, not paying that much attention. When he realized what he just said, it was too late to take it back.

"Y-You did?" Makoto was quite offended.

"What."

"I thought you loved me, Haru!"

"I do, I do," Haru kissed Makoto on the cheek, but a tiny kiss wouldn't do for Makoto.

"I gave you so much, and you never loved me?"

"I said I did!" Haru tried not to raise his voice. He could see jealousy bubble in Makoto's eyes.

Makoto snorted. "I can't limit you to people you talk to, however..." He pulled out a gun out of his pocket. "I can take them away."

'Makoto gets jealous easily and will resort to violence,'  'I got everything' Makoto patted his pocket. Oh no. Haru was shocked- both from fear and disbelief.

"I'll start with the childhood lover," Makoto pointed the gun at Rin.

Haru could see that Rin attempted to dodge, but he couldn't see if he made it or not. Makoto had attempted to shoot Rin, and also part of the Iwatobi building, causing the roof to collapse. Dust a debree covered the area. When they dispersed, Rin was gone.

By then, the rest of the swim team members were on their feet.  Rei grabbed Nagisa's arms, trying to drag him out.

"Nagisa," Rei grimaced, trying to pull him away from the killer. "Let's go."

"No!" Nagisa pried Rei's hands off him. "I have to talk some sense into him! Makoto, what has gotten into you? Can't you remember how much we meant to you? Do you not remember us? Nagisa? Rei? Rin? Haru?"

"Haru?" Makoto cackled, his voice sounding possessed. "Don't you dare mention his name."

He aimed his gun towards Nagisa and shot him in the heart.

"NAGISA!" Rin cried, running over to his dying lover. "My poor, poor child."

Rei kissed Nagisa on the forehead, promising that everything was okay.

"Rei..." Nagisa whispered, with his last breath. "I love you."

"No no no no," Tears poured down Rei's cheeks. "Please don't leave. You mean too much, too much to me."

By now, both Haru and Rei could see that Nagisa's heart was no longer beating, but rather bleeding.

"You MONSTER," Rei was outraged. "All you care about is yourself! You don't understand how much Nagisa meant to me! He was my everything, the only reason why I joined the swim team! He was the only one that was there for me, the only one that understood me. The only one that didn't exclude me like the rest of you! All you cared about was Rin this and Rin that. And now, he's DEAD. Because of you.  How could you? You evil little-"

"Yelling won't save your poor Nagisa," Makoto pointed his gun at Rei. "And it won't save you either."

Haru watched as another one of his best friends lay dead. Rei's glasses were cracked, and his head was slowly spilling blood. Three times the gun was shot. Three times Haru's best friends were killed.

What has gotten into him? Haru was outraged, but mostly afraid. I just said I use to love Rin, that doesn't mean I still love him. Makoto... he killed his own best friends. They were my best friends as well! He killed MY best friends..

"Makoto what has-" Haru tried to yell at Makoto, but he was cut off by a hand that suddenly grabbed him.

Haru couldn't tell who it was. It was nighttime, a few hours after midnight, and Haru couldn't make out who the person was because of the dark. Definitely not Makoto, that's for sure. He was thrown to the back seat of a car that smelled like... Chlorine?

"We have to go back!" Haru cried, when he finally figured out who the mystery person was. "Nagisa and Rei, they're-"

"Dead." Rin finished. "What's the point, Haru? They're dead. There's no point in going back. All that will happen is that we'll both die in attempts to rescue dead bodies that have no use to us now."

"I thought you died."

"I don't die." Rin laughed. "I would only die because of old age or because I'm sacrificing my life for someone else."

"Thank you."  Haru mumbled.

"Don't mention it."

The drive was quiet for a while. Haru recognized the area that Rin was driving towards. This is brilliant. Makoto doesn't know where Sousuke lives, Haru nodded to himself.

"Hey," Rin interrupted Haru's thoughts, seeing the sorrow in his eyes. "I know this doesn't mean much to you, but I'll always protect you. I'll never let Makoto hurt you."

Haru nodded.

"I know I'm not Makoto. I know you don't care about my promises. I know all you care about is Makoto. But he's evil now." Rin paused, seeing that Haru was in the verge of tears. "What does Makoto usually do to you?"

Haru thought for a moment. "He usually kisses me- a lot. He loves to snuggle with me. He usually calls me 'love'. He plays with my hair. And he's usually top when we do it."

"Didn't need to know the last part." Rin cringed. "But I'll try my best to make you feel at home."

"I promise."

...That was wild from start to finish.
