Bella's POV
It's been a couple of hours since I've left the hospital. Ashleigh hasn't left my
side, and Mitch hasn't left my mind. I'm not ready for him yet, but I want him in my life again.
"Bella, do you want to go and get some coffee?" Ashleigh asked me, her eyes glued to her phone screen.
"Sure," I replied, "Can you get me my leggings?"
"Yeah, I'll be back in a second." She said and walked out of the room.
I sat in silence for a moment, until it was broken by an annoying buzz coming from Ashleigh's phone. At first instinct, I picked it up and looked at the screen.
Mitch🍓:
tell her I love her, okay?My heart dropped and I threw the phone off the bed. I burst into tears, feeling guilty for some reason. The amount of hate I had for him was indescribable, but so was the amount of love. I had to push him away, so that's what I'll do.
"Here, queen!" Ashleigh said as she threw my leggings at me.
"Thanks," I muttered and shuffled into my bathroom to change.
I slipped on the leggings and put a sweatshirt over my tee. I threw my uggs on and put my hair up into a messy bun. I walked out of the bathroom and grabbed my phone off the bed.
"Why's my phone on the ground?" Ashleigh asked me.
"I guess it fell off the bed," I muttered, "Let's go, yeah?"
I pulled her up and we walked out of my house.
"Are we driving or walking?" She asked me when we got outside.
"I feel like walking," I said.
"You're not gonna pass out?" She said worriedly.
"No, Ash. I'm over that. Let's go." I demanded, my voice sounded like a five year olds.
"Alright, babe." She giggled, "Calm down."
We walked and talked for a bit until we got to Starbucks. We walked in the door and I sat down at a table. Ashleigh went to get our drinks. I didn't notice until now that Ashleigh had left her phone on the table, along with her other things like keys and her wallet.
*buzz*
I immediately got anxious. I looked down and played with the sleeve of my sweatshirt.
"You good, Bells?" Ashleigh asked me when she sat down.
"Perfect!" I said cheerily and faked a smile. I took a sip of my coffee and looked at my phone.
"Bella, can I give Scott your number?" Ashleigh asked me out of nowhere. I've always kind of had a thing for Scott.
"Yeah, sure. You can give it to the rest of them, too." I said with a grin.
"Even Mitch?" She asked.
"As long as he knows I won't reply." I giggled, "I'll let him talk to me, and I'll read his messages, but I have no interest what-so-ever of talking to him."
"Well, I guess thats a start." Ashleigh laughed. I grinned and sipped at my drink. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.
"Have you sent them my number yet?" I asked anxiously.
"Yup!" She replied, popping the 'p.'
My stomach dropped and I reluctantly grabbed my phone.
Unknown:
Hey, Bell! It's Scottie."Well, Scott didn't wait to text me." I giggled as I typed my reply.
Me:
Hey, Scoot."Cool! You ready?" She asked.
"Yea-" I got cut off by my phone buzzing again. I expected it to be from Scott, and it was, plus the rest of Pentatonix.Scoot: Groupchattttt
Avriel: okayyyyy
Kirstie: why scott
Kevin: yeah, why?
Mitch: alright queens, i don't need people blowing up my phone.
"Ashleigh," I said flustered.
"Mm." She mumbled and looked up at me.
"Scott put me in a group chat with literally everyone in PTX." I said, anxiety filled my voice.
"Well, say something so they know you're not dead." She laughed. Hesitantly, I grabbed my phone and started typing.Me: a groupchat? really? thanks, scott.
My phone started blowing up.
Scott: Anytime! 😉
Kirstie: who dat?
Me: i-g-g-y
Mitch: cute, but really! tell meeee! mommys getting intrigued.
I laughed at Mitch's comment as Ashleigh and I walked out the door.
"Whatcha lookin at, babe?" She asked me.
"This groupchat. I regret replying." I said, honestly.Avriel: wait, is that Bella?
Mitch: .....
Me: is it, lumberjack?
Avriel: yep. definitely bella.
Me: ding ding!
Scott: I'm surprised you replied.
Me: that makes two of us, scotty.Mitch has left the groupchat
Me: well, shit.
Kevin: watch your mouth!
Me: kevin, just because you went to yale doesn't mean you can talk.
Kirstie: damnnnnnnn
Scott: ^^
Avriel: I want coffee.
"Hey, queen." Ashleigh said when we got home.
"Yeah?" I replied.
"You and Scott?"
"He wouldn't ever like me, Ash." My heart dropped a little as I said that. I know that we just met, but I felt like I could trust him, and the rest of the band more than I could Mitch.Soooooo, next chapter will be dedicated to texts in the gc bc why not?
