 Bella's POV

"I um, I have to go." I said quietly to Kirstie. I fast walked out the door without even looking back at the short woman calling my name. I ran to the bus and shut myself in, locking it from the inside.

I breathed heavily as I took out my phone. The message was burned into my brain, an everytime I closed my eyes I saw it. I loved, actually LOVE, Scott.

 me: mitch, i need you.

 Mitch's POV

 Bella: mitch, i need you.

I looked down at the message and my heart started racing.

"Mitch! Have you seen Bella?" Kirstie asked as I got up from my spot.

"No," I told her with worry. "I'm going to find her, you stay with the band, okay?"

She nodded and walked past me with a sad expression matching mine.

me: bus? I texted her after a minute.

Bella: yeah, please hurry.

My stomach dropped and I ran outside the studio and to the bus. When I got to the door and tried to open it, it was locked.

"Bella?" I called.

"Mitch?" I heard a soft voice call. She had been crying.

"Yeah, can I come in?" I asked. Her response was a door click.

She immediately ran into my arms and quietly sobbed.

"Bella, what's going on." I asked her.

"...Scott." She managed to choke out, but it was muffled by a sob.

 "What did he do?"

Instead of speaking, she showed me her phone. It was a text from Scott.

"And it was without warning?" I asked and she wiped her eyes.

"Yeah, I don't know what happened. I thought we were okay," She said, her voice quiet and shaky.

"Babe," I frowned and pulled her into my arms.

 Bella's POV

"I'm sorry I bothered you," I apologized and his eyes widened.

"Don't be sorry! I'll always be here, Bella. I promise." He smiled and I felt a tear roll down my cheek.

"I love you," I said and he hugged me tighter.

"I love you, too." He told me, his voice calming.

 Scott's POV

"Where is Mitch?" I asked Kirstie.

"He went to find Bella," She told me and I felt heat rise in my cheeks.

"Oh," I said and scratched the back of my neck.

"We were in the middle of talking and she said she had to go after she looked at something on her phone." Kirstie frowned and looked in my direction.

"I broke up with her," I winced.

"What?" She yelled and stopped in her tracks. "You idiot!"

"I'm sorry! I just, I didn't feel anything anymore," I said quietly, but after I sent the text I regretted it.

"I know there was something there, Scott." Kirstie said and pursed her lips.

"Well, it's gone now." I stated flatly and walked ahead of her. I felt a tear roll down my cheek but quickly wiped it away.

"You had no reason to do that," Kirstie said and caught up to me, almost tripping in the heels she was wearing.

"Careful, first of all." I told her, "And second, there's no place for you in this. I'm sorry, Kirst, but what I had-"

 "Have," She cut me off.

"What I had with Bella is none of your business."

"She loves you," She said, quietly so only I could hear.

 "I care about her, too."

 Mitch's POV

"I have to go to rehearsals, Bells." I said and pulled away from our hug.

"Okay," She sniffled. I saw how broken she was, and how awful she felt, and I wanted to take it away from her.

"It'll be okay, I'll be back soon," I smiled and kissed the top of her head.

"#soon," She tried to joke and laughed a bit. I smiled and walked out the door to get to the studio.

 -------

When I walked into the room late, all eyes were on me.

 "Hi?" I waved awkwardly.

"Is she okay?" Kirstie asked and I shrugged.

"She could be better," I sighed and sat down next to her, avoiding eye contact with Scott.

"Should we practice Rose Gold?" Kevin suggested and we all answered in a chorus of 'yeahs' and 'sures.'

We rehearsed Rose Gold and a couple of others before we ended the session. I didn't bother to say I was leaving the room, I just left.

"I'm back, hunty." I called into the bus.

 No answer.

"Bells?" I asked again, worry more clear in my voice.

No answer. I frantically searched through the small bus and my heart rate increased every second.

"Mitch, are you okay?" Kevin asked me and walked onto the bus, Avi and the dreaded Scott trailing behind. I turned to him, holding back tears.

 "Bella's not here."
