" So where is this place again?"

Usoui takes out his map" North a couple more blocks. It's coming up on our left."

I nod in response. We where on our way to getting the black hair dye for Mrs. Deller. I don't see how black hair dye is gonna cover her red devil horns at this point.( lol. Get it? This... Point?)

We continued down the street with Usoui in the lead, when I heard a sudden uproar in a nearby bar.

" probably another drunk guy trying to rile up the crowd."

I glanced over at the bar. The people inside where on the tables cheering."

Interested, I decided to take a peak inside. Just to see what the commotion was about.

Usoui angrily groans follows slowly behind.

I have to push myself through the crowd to even find what the commotion is about. Finally after what felt like an hour of shoving and pushing I found the start of it all.

A man with dark brown messy hair and a full grown beard, stood( wobbled) facing a girl with dark black hair.

Her face seemed expressionless even though he was threatening her back and forth, threatening to slit her throat if she didn't shut up.

" Your drunk. Get out. I don't think anyone, myself included wants to deal with your melodrama." The girl took a sip of her drink.

" You little brat! I should slit your throat!"

" I'd rather not get my hands dirty."

The man angrily grits is teeth and growls" That's it!" He grabs his sword from the side and goes to swing at the girls face. But before he can lay a blow, the girl pulls out a sword of her own and blocks him. Pieces of what looked like sapphire shined from the dark silver handle. It's blade looked so sharp, one glare could put you in a coma.

I stared in aw as they battled it out over at the bar counter. Swinging left, dodging right.

The drunk man quickly went for a stomach strike but the girl quickly dodged and hit the middle of his neck with the handle of her sword. With that he passed out onto the floor. The guys that where with the man stood there startled.

" Unless you want your face to meet my sword, take your drunk friend here and leave!"

As if startled from a daze, the guys grabbed him by the arms and pulled him out.

Finally the rest of the bar goes back to talking and drinking, as if nothing happened.

" I've got to figure out who this girl is!" I start walking towards her but Usoui grabs my sleeve and pull me back.

" You can't just walk right up to her!! Didn't you see what she did to that guy?!"

I roll my eyes and pull my arm away from him." You big baby. The only way you'll ever learn anything, is if you face it head on and don't back down."

I continue to walk towards the girl and plop myself down next to her.

" What will yah have?" The lady behind the bar table asks, as she drys a wet glass.

" Just water. Thanks."

She smiles and walks away to get the drink. The girl next to me just sits there staring at the shelves of alcohol.

Just by looking at her, I could already tell she was around my age. But her sword skills where beyond good!

" You did pretty good back there against that drunk bastered."

" Thanks. Though I've faced worse."

" Where did you learn to sword fight?" I turn myself to face her.

" No where special."

I nod in acknowledgment. She probably felt protective, seeing how shes been talking to a stranger.

" I'm sorry, my names Silver Strider. I'm currently captain of the Golden Beauty."

" The Golden Beauty? So Your mother must be Christine Belger?"

" Yes. You've heard of her?" I look at her surprised.

" Well of course. She's one of the most powerful pirates ever!"

After saying that I was shocked! I never knew my mom was that famous!

" So your in charge of the ship while your moms gone?"

I shake my head" Uh yeah. Actually, I was meaning to ask you. How would you like to join the Golden Beauty's crew?"

" Really?....."

" Yes. Someone with your sword skills could really come in handy."

The girl turns her head away for a bit and looks at the the counter." I don't know....... Are you sure you want another mouth to feed?"

I smile and place my hand on her shoulder." Of course I'm sure."

The girl slightly smiles and holds out her hand." My names Crow."

I take her hand, shaking it firmly before hearing an tapping foot from behind.

" ehhem!"

" Oh. Right. This is Usoui. One of the crew members aboard the Golden Beauty, and my closest friend."

" A pleasure to meet you. Now we should really get going. We still need to get the black hair dye for my mom, and get back to the ship in time for dinner." He points outside. The sky getting to be darker.

" Alright, alright Mr. Grumpy Pants! Don't soak your britches!" I smirk.

The girl stands for a moment and shuffles through a bag on the seat next to her." If you need here's some black hair dye. I like keeping one with me."

"Thanks! Now we can head back!" I jump with excitement." Come on! I'm sure the crew will want to meet you!"

Crow nods her head and smiles, as I grab hold of her hand and start off towards the ship.

Usoui following close behind.
