The party lasted till the very last drop of rum had dripped out of the barrel into Tom's mouth. That dick. I couldn't even get a full cup before he glugged the thing down!

Maybe I should get a secret compartment to put all of the barrels in, just so at least we don't run out before we head out to sea tomorrow morning.

Crow and Usoui helped me clean up the mess before heading off to bed like the rest of the crew. I on the other hand will have to stay up doing work tonight. Being captain sucks sometimes.

                                                                                        Next morning

" Hey capt'n!" Crow yelled from the bow of the ship.

I looked up at her, there where two dark green feathers tied in her hair. Made sense seeing how her name was based off of a bird. " what's the matter?"

" I just wanted to ask....well you were going to find me a job to do on the ship, and I was wondering if youd let me work up there?" She used her finger to point at the top of the main sail mast where we had our crows nest. (Lol, crow is in the crows nest.)

"Tell you what." I smiled, and turned her towards Usoui's direction." If you can help Usoui finish up with painting down the dingy, then the jobs yours."

Her eyes gleamed with excitement as she hurried over to help finish the paint job.

I suddenly felt a hand grasp my shoulder and I turned around to see a shocked Tom. "How did you do that?"

" Do what?" I tilted my head. The silver feather drooping down in front of one of my eyes.

" Get her to smile. The whole crew already tried and she's proved that she will neither smile nor talk to anyone, except you apparently. How the hell do you do it?!"

I smile and pat his shoulder. "I guess she trusts me more. Besides I'm the one who welcomed her aboard the ship."

" Yeah, I guess."

He smirks back and rubs the back of his neck.

" So, aparently there is word goin around that a Royal Boat has set sail and was spotted not too far from where we are now.... And the crew was wonderin..... I was wonderin..... If-"

" If we could go and raid the ship." I cut him off. I sit there thinking as he stares at me with hopeful eyes.

" What's the cargo?"

" Three girls, one of them being a princess, and the others are her hand maidens. There are also 2 guards and 6 crew members, including the captain." He sits straighter." Also there's been rumors that they're holding 20,000 gold pieces and are on their way towards and eastern kingdom called Winston."

I nod in response as he explains this all to me." Hmm........ Well....I suppose it would waist to not raid a ship like that. It's not like you get a chance like that every day."

His eyes grow bigger as he jumps up in excitement.( he may be an adult, but I doubt his brain has past the age of 13 😂)

" Alright, go and do me a favor. Bring me my sword."

" You got it cap'n." He winks and sprints down to my courters.

" ALL HANDS ON DECK!!!!!! I WANT EVERYONES ATTENTION!!!! GRAB A WEAPON!! WERE GOING RAIDING!!" I yell out.

The crew yargs back and I hear cheering as everyone rushes around the ship. They all knew what to do.

I look over at Crow who's working faster and pushing he brush a crossed the boat quicker. I knew she really wanted the job.

Captain! Usoui and I have finished painting the ship!" Crow ran up panting with a look of desperation imprinted in her eyes.

I smile and hand her a silver scope. She jumps up excitedly and sprints up the mast to the crows nest.

Not a moment later I hear her call down. "I see the ship dead ahead, captain!"

" Full speed! We're goin in!" I grab my sword and point the tip to the sky.

I can see the anticipation in everyone's eyes as we draw closer to the beautiful golden ship.
