Chapter: 10

" Captain."-knock, knock, knock-

My eyes Fluttered open as I looked around. Where was I? Or right, I'm in my quarters. I shake my head and and walk over to the golden rimmed door. It was Will.

" Super is ready Cap'n."

I sigh and rub my eyes." Very well, I'll be down in a minute."

" Yes cap'n." He bows his head slightly before walking down to the kitchen.

It has been 2 days since my mother left the ship in my care. And so far, I think I'm doing a pretty good job of it.

I just wonder how my mothers gonna take having 4 new crew members.

I sigh and place the captains hat down on the bed and walk down to the kitchen. Everyone looks up and stands at my arrival.

" I'm not my mother so please, there's no need to stand up." I smile and plop myself next to Usoui and Crow." What's for super?"

" Salmon, and rice." Usoui answers back with a mouth full of food.

Crow reaches over and hands me a bowl.

I take a bite and look up towards the three newbies." How are they doing?"

" Claire is just as annoying and Nano won't leave her side. On the other hand Ayaka has proven to be quiet useful. Her weaponry skills are beyond comprehension." She rolled her eyes and slightly growled.

I smirk." And how did you find all this out?"

Usoui butts in." Lets just say Crow was pissed and Ayaka made a side comment, angering Crow and causing them to duce it out on deck."

I look over at Crow to see a slight bruise under her right eye.

" Makes sense. Of course we all saw that coming sooner or later. I could tell by the look in your eyes when I let them on the ship."

She shoves another bite into her mouth." Just because you let them on the ship, doesn't mean I have to like them. Especially that good for nothing princess over there."

Me and Usoui chuckle.

" We do need to start thinking about jobs for them. We can't have them wandering the ship."

I nod my head, in deep thought. I didn't need anyone to give me a hint that Ayaka was definitely suited for weaponry. Though even with Ayaka figured out, I still had no clue on what the other two could do. To be perfectly honest, I highly doubt Claire will be of any use. Of course she could surprise me.

Nano on the other hand is......... Well......... What is she?........ I can't even understand her....... One minute she's jumpy and happy, the next she's quiet and serious. Her personality is constantly changing.

" Whatever, I'll figure it out tomorrow. Although Ayaka will without a doubt will be the weaponry expert. She seems capable enough to handle that. I'll have to spend more thinking on the other two though." I finish my last bite before setting the bowl down next to me." That was amazing!"

Usoui smiles." You think so? You should thank Claire and her helpful advice. She was the one that made it. She said she wanted to show her gratitude to the captain for allowing her to join the ships crew."

I was shocked. Well I guess that leaves one left to go. This was gonna be easier than I thought. I just hope I don't regret it.

-next morning-

I yawned. Last night seemed to drag on and I kept on waking up. I finally just gave up and decided to go out on deck.I thought I heard chattering so I wandered around to see what was going on. But.... No one. The whole deck of the ship was empty and I stood there alone with just the faint breeze of wind blowing on my face.

Where could they be? Are they all still asleep? I looked up at the sky to see it just above the ship. No, they couldn't have been asleep. It's way too late in the day.

I decided to look down in the sleeping courters to see if I was just imagining things.

" Hey guys. What are you doing still in your Hammo-"

I looked around. Every hammock was empty. As if nothing was laying there at all.

Now I was starting to get nervous. My whole crew goes missing out in the middle of the Pacific? There was just no way something like that could happen.

I rushed back up on deck. Sweat rolled down my face. That's when I saw it. A small, chest just sitting there next to the captain courters door. It was like a mini treasure chest. But.... How? I don't remember putting it there. I walked up to it cautiously, and placed my hands on the side. It's was strangely......heavy. My body

jerked forward from the shocking weight.

" W-What's in this thing?!"

I pulled at it but it wouldn't budge.

" Maybe there's a lock...."

I flipped it around looking along the edges for any lock that I may have missed.... But... Nothing.....

" How am I supposed to open this?"

I continued searching along the small box and found what looked to be a small glowing gem on the top of the box. It wasn't there before.

I lifted my index finger up and touched the top of the gem. I heard a sudden click and looked down at the box. It was open! I got it open!

As I lifted the lid a white light illuminated from the cracks. It was like someone stuck a glowing white orb inside of a box.

I took the top of the box, finally opening it fully. The light immediately flew out of the box and started circling the mast, making its way back down towards me. It seemed to be revealing something to me. Ghost like images slowly appeared along the deck of the ship.

I glanced over to the brim to find what looked to be a shadow. Plastered apon it's face was an evil grin that sent a shiver down my back. The blue light finally disappeared and the shadowy figure took over the sky. The sun was blocked out and black like dust and fog surrounded everything.

" Who are you?!" I yelled out to the figure. It only chuckled in response.

-All will be revealed-

The shadowy figure smiled even more and screamed as it flew down to where I was.

That's when I woke up. Sweat rolled down my head as I patted myself down.

I sighed and flipped back down into my clumped up covers and stared at the ceiling.

" It..... It was just a dream...."
