At thirteen years old, Sabrina had her wide eyes open, standing on a chair and watching her mom getting pulled on a stretcher, being taken to the hospital. "See you real soon, mommy!" She waved slightly.
She went alone back inside and sat all by herself. She thought about what happened. How mommy started coughing so much. Why she went with the doctors. She didn't understand anything. She cried alone. She thought about it alone.
People make promises all the time, then they turn around. They break them.

Principal Cabrera stared coldly at the mischievous double.
"What do you two have to say for yourselves?!" Rebecca Cabrera, the principal, barked at us."She committed assault against my friend! She should be arrested!" Sabrina retorted.
"Arrest me all you want! I could get a bail before you can even see your mom with hair again." Karen rolled her eyes while taking a long glance at her nails, probably looking for some of Cassidy's blood on it like the witch she is.
"Stop using my mom as an back-up for your immature, worthless, massively dumb, excuses of comebacks-!" Sabrina gritted my teeth. She has had enough of Karen and her trying to bicker her way out of these kinds of situations. Especially using her life problems as support for her comebacks. Their plenty of other things about me that she could criticize and she chooses Sabrina's mom on chemo and her father in jail for god knows how long."Miss Brown, Marcus, Please settle down...." Principal Cabrera sighed, stressing the bridge of her nose in the process.
"You may resolve your problems by dealing it with special help. From the guidance counselor, Natalie Moore, you will resolve your problems with as much ease and com-"
"Nerdy glasses, brunette bob girl? Oh her... She better have done my homework..." Karen mumbled under her breath while Principal Cabrera was still babbling."Are we clear..?" She questioned us as Sabrina awkwardly twiddled her thumbs and Karen filed her nails. "S-sure..." She peeped. Principal Cabrera nodded at the two. "After school, on Monday and the day after that better be a new beginning for both of you." She dismissed the two with colorless, white excuse slips. Karen went to P.E while Sabrina went to marching band. As we parted our ways, Sabrina went across the empty courtyard and rushed to band.
"What took you so long..?" A faint whisper was heard as Sabrina gave the band teacher the slip even though he crumbled it after. "Just Karen Kramer...." Sabrina mumbled to her 'best band friend' (BBF), Kyle. Kyle Moore, played trumpet in all summer band camps while she 'wasted' her non-existent social life looking for someone to talk to, is a pro-trumpeter while Sabrina learned a whole lot of fingerings and got up to his level in two years in middle school. He also had a shy older sister, Natalie Moore, the training guidance counselor. She plopped on my seat and lightly shoved her mouthpiece into the trumpet while Kyle watched the saxophones go through piece by piece assembling their saxophones.
She has always felt bad for those saxophones... "Quiet! Alright, let's tune, C for B flat instruments, G for the Alto Saxophones, A for~" Sabrina quickly buzzed her lips preparing to play.

After those long 100 minutes, Sabrina walked out the humongous band room with Kyle to venture off to advanced math.
"I'm glad we're reviewing PI, I swear to god if I ever see area conversion...." Kyle trailed off.
"I was fine with PI and area conversion. It wasn't that bad. But you usually overreact if the Salisbury steak gravy is separated from the rice so...." Sabrina shrugged jokingly while Kyle nudged her shoulder.
"Don't go that into detail...." Kyle trailed off once he set his eyes on Cassidy. Sabrina grinned, always knowing that he liked her in some special way. He took a glance at Cassidy's arm that was bandaged now.
"Cassidy? What's with Th-" Sabrina interrupted him with a smack to his arm. He winced while holding the place she slapped him.
"Don't worry Sabrina, Kyle, it was just Karen...." She trailed off, probably replaying the scene again. Her brown hair cascaded over her eye, perhaps to hide a bruise or a scratch. Cassidy then started walking with the two through the swarm of eleventh graders and went to Ms.Green's classroom.
"Today,.. We'll be reviewing surface area.." Everyone's eyes set on the formula board. SA=Ph+2B, surface area. She could already hear the sighs of fellow classmates when Ms. Green assigned the class the weeks homework.-
Sabrina hopped in my car and plugged the car keys in. She turned on the seat warmer and drove out of school. Glancing at the car's clock, reading it. 4:37 p.m, an hour before sunset. Before she knew it, She was at the house, alone once again. She stared at the mail on the kitchen table as the red stamp on it read, "PAST DUE". Sabrina then glared at the food stamps and sighed. Lily pranced up to her and whined for food.
She trudged to feed her while Lily rolled over for her to pet her belly. For a yorkie, in Sabrina's opinion, she's was such a great friend to have when your all alone. Sabrina grinned and pet her furry belly and carried her like a baby while pouring some dry food into Lily's bowl. Sabrina walked to her clean room and stared at all the folded clothing, that was not there before. There was heavy breathing coming from her closet and the horrific idea came up into her mind.
She quickly snatched an Rotofury nerf gun in desperate attempts to scare the intruder away. Sabrina slowly approached the closet. She raised my foot slowly, waiting for the right moment. Sabrina swiftly kicked down the door yelping at the same time and noticed no one was there. Sabrina sighed and laid the Rotofury on the floor. She reached for the knob and while turning it felt something pierce through her back and drag down her back. She fell on the ground, gurgling up a liquid. A black figure stood there with red glowing eyes with a bloody knife in hand. It hovered in the air and Sabrina's vision was blinded by darkness as the figure dissipated into thin air.
