1. What is the title of your story?

A. Amerosa.

2. What is the genre of your story?

A. Psychological fiction, Modern drama.

3. Can you give the summary for this story?

A. Five year old Amerosa is different, and her parents know it. Although they have everything they could ever need, Leon and Amelia worry for their daughter's future. When Amelia suddenly dies, can Leon handle the extra stress? Experience the retribution of a lifetime and learn what it really means to be a parent.

4.  What gave you the inspiration and ideas for this story?

A. I was inspired by stories on 60 minutes about genius children and by our review of the Kubler-Ross model (five stages of grief) in Psychology class. The story essentially a fictional illustration of the model.

5. Why do you think your story is good for people to read?

A. The story really puts grief in perspective and shows how 'normal' people fall into things like denial and depression. I think sadness and weakness are seriously misunderstood today, and there's no reason that they should be.

6. Lastly, anything to say to people who read your story?

A. The story is really about Leon, not Amerosa, although Amerosa has symbolic significance worthy of the title. Remember that Leon is not a weak man and that this can happen to anyone.
