A. When Alex's mother gets placed in rehab due to drugs, Alex has no other family to go to but her aunt Sophie in the UK. Upset with the 24/7 cold air streets of Bradford, and how she can't possibly fit in, Alex is desperate to move back to America. Zayn Malik is basically the most popular guy in school, so why does he start falling hard for sweet, simple, American Alex?
