1. What is the title of your story?

A. Mirrors.

2. What is the genre of your story?

A. Paranormal/ Teen fiction.

3. Can you give the summary for this story?

A. There is nowhere to go. There is no one else but me. As I realize my fate, the haunting silence consumes me. Drifting through this watery grave lay memories seen through mirrors. This is where I shall swim through, searching for peace and remembering the worries of life. How could I escape this torture? Is there no way out? Or would I have to stay in this vast ocean for eternity?

4. What gave you inspiration and ideas for this story?

A. My initial inspiration for this story is really the song called Swimming Home by Evanescence. To me, it brought the eerie calmness of moving on to the other side with peace and having no regrets. The feeling throughout the song of utter sadness, and yet acceptance intrigued me so much that I wanted to write something about it. So I did. When I was just goofing off with the idea of my story I thought to myself, What would happen if I die? Would people be sad? Would people forget? Would they move on? Would I move on? Those questions just haunted me so much that this story began to feel very therapeutic. I started seriously writing this when I was at my wits end with sophomore year. All the buried emotions and memories started popping up one by one, making me sink further and further. That's when I started applying those feelings into my writing.

5. Why do you think your story is good for people to read?

A. The main point of mirrors is to ask yourself, "Did I move on? Do I forgive myself" really, I just wanted to raise those buried emotions I had inside of me. I wanted to share this fictional story mine with its raw emotion so that at least someone out there could relate and learn from it. The basic message here is to learn how to forgive yourself.

6. Lastly, anything to say to people who read your story?

A. I'm just so grateful for those readers who rocketed through every chapter I got. It motivated me to keep on writing, keep on pushing and keep on having fun. It's a joy to see those numbers rise. But its more of a relief for me to release those emotions I had stuck inside me. I'm happy that this writing experience is helping me slowly heal, whilst at the same time I could share those experiences. I just hop that everyone finds their inner peace.
