Chapter 10

Damian and I walked into school smiling. It was friday and that meant we could dress casually. Damian and I had matching Batman hoodies and he had regular skinny jeans while mine were black with rips in the knees.
"Are you going to the prom tonight?" He asked.

"I don't have anyone to go with. You know that."

"I thought someone would have asked you." He said sheepishly.

"Nope. I hope you have fun. You're going with Britney right?" Oh I forgot to mention. Damian and Brittany are dating now. Don't ask me how it happened. One day they hated each other and the next day they were sucking each others faces off against the lockers. After that I went home and cried my eyes out into my pillow. Dad didn't even notice.

"Yeah i'm going with Brit. Youre okay with that right?" Damian finally answered.

"Yeah totally" I replied trying to cover the annoyed tone of my voice.

"tt. Sure."

"I want you to have fun Damian. I'll probably watch movies with Serenity."

Damian frowned and stopped at his locker and got his books out. I stopped at mine, 10 lockers away. I was really hoping that Damian would ask me to prom but he was Dating Britney now and if he was happy I could at least pretend to be happy for his sake. I got into Sonya's classroom 20 minutes before class started. Damian still wasn't there, probably with britney. If you were wondering Sonya moved up her teaching grade so she could teach Damian and I again.

"Good Morning Wil."

"Morning So" She was wearing a blue cardigan with a white button down under it with black dress pants. Her ring really stood out since she never has worn much jewelry.

"Wears lil' D?"
"With Britney."
"Why is he with her? I'm not supposed to say this because i'm a teacher but she is a B***H!"

"He's dating her now So. Nothing I can do about that."

"Wait what! But he likes-!" She slammed her hand over her mouth as Damian walked into the classroom.

"Morning Dames!" She called to him a little too enthusiastically.

" Same to you Quinzell."

"What are you going to do when there is two Graysons?"

"The real question Quinzell, is what am I going to do when there is 3, 4 , or 5 Graysons?"

Sonya went scarlet and walked over to her desk and sat down.

School was a pain. I couldn't wait to go home. Everyone was talking about how excited they were for the Prom and how pretty their dresses were. I wasn't even going home after school, I was going to the manor to hang out with Serenity and Layla while Jason was with Roy for a guys night. I slammed my locker shut and angrily walked out of the building to wait for Alfred. Damian was already at the waiting spot and I stood a good 5 feet away from him. I didn't even want to look at him. Throughout the school day I heard some rumors about Britney and Damian and It made me want to throw up in my mouth. 'Snogging in the Biology classroom' 'she was sitting in his lap' 'he's totally shagged her by now,' Of course they were only rumors and who knows if they were true but I might beat the stuffing out of him at the moment if her even looks at me the wrong way. Alfred pulled up and I walked to the car and followed Damian into the back seats.

"Are you okay WIllow?"

"Just peachy."

Damian turned the other way and we road the rest of the way to the manor.

I was sitting in my room at the manor drawing in my sketchbook. I was finishing a picture of a girl and a boy slow dancing. The boy was smiling down at the girl as she leaned her head on his chest. A tear slid down my cheek and onto the old sketch paper. I furiously wiped my eyes as there was a knock on my door.

"Come in."

"Why didn't you tell me that tonight was your prom night!" Serenity yelled as she burst into my room.

"I'm not going Ren." I said looking down at my sketch book."

"Why in batman's name not?!"

"I don't have anyone to go with."

" Scratch our plans for tonight. You're going to Prom!"

"It's too late now it starts in 15 minutes."

"Quit crying over your art and get in the shower! I'm going to make you look so awesome Damian will regret his choice."

"Wha-"

"I was never the one to say that now get in the shower"

she pushed me into the bathroom and I quickly turned on the shower. I showered for approximately 10 minutes and jumped out. I pulled on a pair of shorts and a tank top from of a drawer in my bathroom and walked out into my room to find Serenity standing beside my vanity.

"Hurry up the dance has already started your going to be at least an hour late anyway!"

I ran over to the chair and threw myself into it.

"So i have decided that we are going to let your hair air dry as we do your makeup to save time." She said as she smeared a light layer of foundation on my face. I winced as she accidentally poked my eye applying eyeliner.

"oops sorry!"

She painted my lips with a pale lip stain.

"Put the dress on your bed on and then we will do your hair."

I walked over to the bed to find light blue dress and a pair of saddle shoes.
"Where did the dress come from? Its beautiful."

"It was mine. Now hurry we don't have much time Alfred will be back soon and im not going to wait for him to get that limo in and backout of the garage again."

I put the dress on and Serenity laced the back of it up. It fit perfectly. I quickly laced and tied my saddle shoes and Serenity sat me back in the vanity chair to do my hair. She twisted pieces, braided bits, and teased sections. She pulled all of them together into an elegant bun. I looked into the mirror and I was shocked at my own appearance. I looked stunning how in the heck did she pull this off in less than an hour. I spun and the dress flared out and I giggled.

Serenity laughed and ushered me to the door. "Just wait until Damian sees you."
