I was about to open the notebook that Mr. Ambrose gave me that held his appointments, to check if I have disturbed any kind of meeting or deliveries that he should oversee, but as I scanned my handwriting again, to make sure that I have not missed or have forgotten when I have written it like the good and obedient (not really) secretary that I am, I heard a loud crash from Mr. Ambrose's office and my ears perked up to hear for another crash.

Five seconds later, my interest has passed. But I was still worried.

Worried huh?

I ignored my thoughts and continued scanning the notebook, but then I heard another sound from Mr. Ambrose's office. It wasn't a crush, it was a thud. A big, loud thud. It must have come from a large object –or maybe just Karim. I was still concerned of what must be the ruckus is about. I knew how Mr. Ambrose adored his silence, so what must be the problem?

What if it was Lord Dalgleish?

The thought ran through my spine, but I reminded myself that it was impossible especially since Lord Dalgleish to have to enter the premises. I comforted myself with that thought, as I tried to theorize what else must be in war just within Mr. Ambrose's arms touch. The sudden thought of his arm, had reminded me of how that same arm had held me so close, so dangerously close. To my heart.

I scolded my inner voice for daring ever to think of that awful thought. Then, again, why did I feel like it wasn't awful at all? Blast that man for making me feel this way!

Focus, Lily!

I gathered my thoughts and have reasoned myself that it might have been coming from the hallway, but I knew I was fooling myself as I opened my door to a very curious and scared-looking Mr. Stone whose eyes have found mine and held an emotion of questioning. But my guess was as good as his, and that might have occurred to him because as another thud have erupted from our employer's door as we both turned to look at it. I quickly snapped my door shut, to move to get to the door that have joined our offices.

I quickly knocked on it rapidly, the concern and worry growing at every time my knuckles have managed to hit the door, rather violently. But I had no time to pity the door, so I put my ear in the door, and asked.

"Are you alright, Sir?"

But as I said those words, more crash and booms have echoed through the door that made my ear hurt. Taken aback from the response, I fumbled for my keys that Mr. Ambrose has given me, but I couldn't find it. I fumbled through my desk like a mad woman, leaving a cluster of mess.

Blast it! Out of all the bloody days I have picked to have lost it, it's now?!

Hearing another large crash from the other side, I ran towards the door and put my ear towards the door again. Even though I have made this mistake once before, I have foolishly thought it wouldn't hurt the second time around anymore. But clearly, I was wrong.

Because it bloody hurts.

Look at the bright side, Lily! You heard a raspy voice that sounded like it's from your employer say 'Why', so you did make out something despite the fact that your ear should be taken a look at by a doctor! Hurray!

That's not really a bright side.

x.

So wanna hear bad news and good news? Yay! First up, the good news.

The good news is, I have decided to stretch this a bit to 15 chapters, and that it is going to be a good ending! (Didn't say anything about it being happy though.)
And that even though this chapter is quite short, I am really happy with this even though this is only a drag chapter and not to mention, a cliffhanger. Hope ya'll don't hate me by next chapter!

The bad news is, the next chapter will probably  come after three weeks. Because tomorrow is the date that I will start to study for finals, and you must hate me by then, but you just have to know what happens next right? Good luck with waiting!
*evil laugh*

See you guys soon, and hope you had fun!
