Chapter Eleven - Back To Work

So this was the infamous Captain Carter in the Linton household.

So, all this time, Lily's life must have been in danger because she was friends with him? He even managed to recognize my little ifrit at first glance.

I felt my finger twitch and my jaw tighten.

This could mean that Lily's life was in danger and that she might be in trouble because of this pathetic excuse of a spy that Dalgleish has. Lily was still staring up at him in shock, and they were both staring at one another that it made me feel... unpleasant.

I felt my finger twitch again.

"Are you finished, Mr. Linton?" I stated, time was wasting with their pathetic staring at each other and was not beneficial to me –in any way. Lily looked at me and she frowned at me. This was certainly not new, but what was new was how I felt the need to kiss her again. I focused my sight on the spy on the chair, I can not be distracted.

"Is he ready to talk?" I asked Karim, who smiled at me –proud of himself probably.

"Yes, he is, Sahib. I have used the same old trick I did with Simmons." He whispered, eyeing the ifrit who was curiously leaning over to us to hear what he is saying. I straightened and stood in front of this Carter.

"What have you been telling Lord Dalgleish, Captain Carter?"

He looked at me, and looked at something (or someone, rather) behind me, and spoke: "If you let her go, I will talk." I wanted to hurt him, but yet I couldn't risk to scar that same someone that he is speaking of to witness such a scene.

Instead, I just let out the words: "I assure you, he is where he wants to be and nothing is going on here without his will." I saw his jaw clench and I expected no other reaction.

"Then, don't let her stay." I had to agree to him, and I could see that he was taunting me. But, even after a cost-benefit analysis, I still found that her safety was much important than this spy. So, I looked at Karim who seemed to get the message almost immediately, and escorted her out –despite her usual protests and violence. It even surprised me that Karim even agreed to touch my little ifrit.

"Well, then. Let's get to business, shall we?"

Okay, first of all I know that this is too short and is a drag chapter, no need for you to nag me on that. I'm on my period and my uterus decides to cause me a lot of pain and I'm in a freaking bad mood, so bear with me. And besides, I'm rushing in on this because here comes my second announcement!

I DECIDED TO START WORKING ON ANOTHER FAN FIC! How fun is that?

Well, I just tweeted last night about how I still cry whenever I reread the Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu, and she freaking noticed me. So, I decided to write about Legend Trilogy, after Champion, since why not? It was an open ending (which I truly hate but I'll let Marie pass since she's a big sweetheart) and that because I freaking love Day and June. 

So, are there any Legend fans out there? And if you still haven't read this trilogy, I would be very surprised since it is a really adored and famous trilogy, but PICK IT UP PICK IT UP PICK IT UP BECAUSE IT IS AN AMAZING TRILOGY AND YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
