Chapter Nine: "I will always find you."

Dick wakes from his slumber first out of him and Wally. Dick is confused to why Wally is still asleep and why he wakes before him. Dick was sure Wally had fallen asleep before he did. Little did he know of Wally's doing last night. Dick looks at the time and gathers it to be 11:00am. Dick takes another look at Wally who was snoring. He shrugs and rolls his eyes at the sight then walks off to his bedroom toilet to take a shower.

Moments later, Wally wakes from the sounds of water pouring down and crashing onto the tile floors within the next room. He figures it was Dick. Wally quickly rises from the bed and speeds down to Alfred and Bruce. "He's awake."

Bruce and Alfred nod and begin to prepare his breakfast. "Alright, I will contact Doctor Fate. Return to his room before he becomes suspicious."

Wally nods and returns to Dick's room within seconds of his departure, he takes a seat on the edge of his bed. He takes the side away from the door which leads to Dick in the bedroom toilet, and waits for him to finish.

"Wally, you're up." Dick calls out as he exits the bathroom, with only a towel wrapped around his waist.

Wally turns to see the breathtaking figure. "Yeah... morning, Dick." He speaks to the body that he longs to lay his lips on, the body he wants to explore with his own tongue, the body that is no longer alll for his own.

Dick walks over to Wally and picks him up from the bed. "What is wrong, Wally?" Dick notices something off about his 'partner'.

"No, nothing it's just..." Wally was interrupted.

"Have I done something wrong?" Dick puts on a fake puppy face. "Have I offended you? Perhaps spoken out of term?" Dick questions him.

"No, Dick." Wally replies.

"Then, what is it? What is troubling you?" Dick places his hand on the shoulders of his 'partner' and uses his fingers to caressing them.

Wally pauses and stares into the empty blue, ocean eyes of his lover. "Wally, I am your partner. I wouldn't want to see you hurt for the world!"

Wally's heart drops knowing that Dick's words are not real. Wally moves on and puts on a fake smile, and replies. "I love you Dick. More than you could ever imagine. There isn't anything, I would not do for you." Wally embraces Dick with sadness and sorrow written on Wally's face. But for Dick, he smirks thinking he has fooled his 'partner'.

"Now, let's have some breakfast."
Dick drags Wally out of their room and down the stairs into the kitchen where Bruce, Barry and Alfred wait for them.

"Breakfast Master Dick, Master Wally." Alfred direct thems to their seats on the dining table where Bruce and Barry wait.

"Dick, how are you feeling?" Bruce begins speaking after swallowing a mouthful of Alfred cooking.

"I'm well, Bruce. Thanks for asking." Dick responds. "But I am still currently mentally and physically unfit to join the others in missions.

Wally chokes on his food after what Dick said. He manages to recover and apologize for the interruption he caused. "Ahhhemmm, excuse me."

"Is there a problem, Wally?" Dick almost glares at his partner.

"Oh I'm sorry, it's just that you seem perfectly fine to me." Wally snaps back.

Dick pursed his lips at Wally's comment.

"Is everything alright between you two?" Barry questions.

"Everything is fine." Dick growls.

"Well then, if you think you cannot participate in missions anytime soon, then it's best you stay here and get some rest for the time being." Bruce gently says. "Wally, you are relieved from any missions until Dick has completely recovered, watch over him."
