Chapter 10: Queens of Darkness

"The doubts I had for the hero's from this land have been my undoing and resulted in the loss of my puppet."the demon talks to himself. "But alas, my work is complete and I will still succeed."

He floats above the waters of the dead sea on the exact location where the bridge between the Underworld and Earth was summoned.

Rumpelstiltskin closes his eyes and lifts his enclosed hand out before the water. He opens it revealing the glowing blue ribbon that contains the powers of most of the young justice team.

"Now... open sesame." He mumbles to himself. Rumpelstiltskin shatters the ribbon into pieces allowing the living, glowing colours within the magic ribbon to escape and rush around his location. Rumpel contains the unstable magic and slowly guides it into the water.

As soon as the magic touched the water, a whirlpool begins to form. He looks down at the portal smirking devilishly, proud at his power.

"Come out, Dearies! It is time!" Rumpelstiltskin's cries out with a wide grin across his demonic face.

A dark smoke escapes from the whirlpool and hovers beside the him.

"You are always on time, great dark one." A voice from the smoke speaks.

Two more clouds loom out and swoop beside Rumpelstiltskin.

"We are here now, great dark one. Let us do what darkness does best." The second voice blurts.

"To snuff out the light." The third completes the sentence.

Rumpelstiltskin smirks, he waves his hand closing the portal and transporting himself and his party away.

....

At the beach, right after Dick's resurrection. The rest of the family make their way to Dick and Wally as they walk out from the waters.

"Welcome back." Blue removes his armor and embraces Dick.

"So crash to have you back, Dick." Bart elbows him.

"Bruce..." Dick gasps to see his mentor. "It's good to see you, Dick." Batman embraces his apprentice with love.

Flash awes at the two behind his mask.

Dick falls back from Bruce's long embrace and sadly announces. "There's something I need tell you all."

"Whatever it is, you can explain it to the rest of the team. They're waiting for us." Batman walks off forcing the rest of them to follow. "Here's a pair sunglasses." Batman hands over sunglass to conceal his identity to those members of the team that do not know of his identity.

"Thanks Bruce."

B23 Impulse, B22 Blue Beetle, 02 Batman, 04 Flash, 17 Doctor Fate, B03 Kid Flash, B01 Nightwing.

"Nightwing!" Zatanna calls out at their entrance.

"Hey everyone." Dick greets in his civilian clothing and his shades. "Guys, I'm so sorry for what I did to you all." Dick looks down, ashamed of what has recently occured. "Please forgive me." Dick apologizes for his recent actions before the team.

"Nightwing, there's no need to be sorry." Zatanna smiles at him.

"But you two better make it up to us." Artemis scolded at Dick and Wally.

She sighed since no-one payed attention and ignored her.

Wally faces Dick and asks. "What do you remember exactly?"

"Well, little parts. Only when I was you, most of the time when you talk to me or even when embrace me, I become conscious on what is happening to my body but I cannot control it." Dick explains. "And whenever I wasn't with you I would black out. I'm assuming that's when Rumpelstiltskin would have complete control over me and my body. He also made me so angry. Somehow he infused me with so much hatred."
