You make it to work, almost two hours late. Your boss got really heated, but let you off with a very stern warning and no lunch break. You now have to work on this stupid project the entire day.

You couldn't really care though cause all you can think about was Caspar. He was on your mind the entire day. Everyone must have seen you weren't working to the best of your ability, so your boss had to keep checking on you see make sure your weren't slacking.

You kept thinking about how his hand felt in your own. His blue eyes that were so welcoming. His smell made you crazy and his little frown lines that grew larger when you left him in the elevator. How hurt he looked; not because of you, but because he didn't know when or is he would ever see you again. This bothered you too. Will you ever see him again?

It was time for you to go home, but instead of an uber or the train, you decided to grab a coffee and walk home. You had a lot to think about and didn't know where to start. You put in your headphones and walk home in the swarm of zombies.

You reach your apartment building and you hadn't even drunk half of your coffee but you felt sick. As you open the heavy lobby doors to your apartment, someone knocks into you. Having what's left of your coffee spill all over you. You gasp, but the coffee was already cold. So it wasn't scolding and burning your skin.

"Oi! I'm so sorry, miss. I didn't see you there." You look up from your soaked shirt and see a young guy. Around your age. Brown haired, with blue almost green eyes. He's shorter than most guys but he's still taller than you. You notice you hadn't answered him, so you say, "It's fine, I was done with the coffee anyway." You walk past him to the lobby garbage and throw away the now empty cup, but he appears behind you.

"Are you sure? I could buy you another coffee? I feel bad." He reaches his hand out. "Oh and I'm Joe." You grab onto his hand. "Hi, I'm Y/N." His hand was also soft, and inviting.

"And.. no I'm good. Thanks anyways, Joe." You say trailing off. Before he left out the door you call out, "Hey! Do you live in this building?" Your curious it's getting the best of you.

He calls back, "Yeah! Just moved in with my friend. We're on the 5th floor!" Then he was gone. Back into the floods of people.

You push the elevator button and wait for the lift to come down. You get in and push the '5' button and lean back on the elevator wall. You check your watch and it's already ten. Good thing you don't work tomorrow. The doors open and you walk down the hall towards your empty apartment. As you pass room 13, the door is open again. The place was filled with furniture and tacky decor, but the place never looked more alive. The apartment hadn't been vacant for years. You hear shuffling and a guy with orange hair pops up. You begin to walk again trying not to make eye contact, but the guy speaks up and runs to the door frame.

"Hey! Are you Y/N?" The ginger said.
You stop in your tracks and turn your head to the guy. He had a familiar accent, but you couldn't remember where you had heard it.

"Who's asking?" You say, since you legit have no idea who this guy is.

"Do you know Caspar?" He says. Your heart stops, your palms begin to sweat. Who is this guy?

"Who are you?" You say, not knowing whether to run or continue the conversation.

"I'm Josh, Caspar's friend. He's not in right now, but he'll be back-"

You cut him off saying, "I have to go. goodbye Josh." You begin to walk pretty fast down the hallway.

"No, Y/N wait!"
You hear Josh saying as his voice becomes farther and farther.
You get to your apartment and practically run in. You slide down the back of your door and put your head in your hands.

"Why did I run..?" You think to yourself, feeling your wet shirt pressing against your skin. "How did Josh know my name? Did Caspar tell him about me? I only just met him this morning...am I ready to see him again?" You realize your now talking out loud to yourself and decide to get up and grab a quick shower.

You get dressed into a large tshirt and shorts. You make a cup of tea and sit in your living room. Alone. You had no idea what to do. Should you go and see Caspar? Should you just go to bed? should you go over Kenzie's? (Kenzie is your best friend, that you have known since forever. You tell her everything.)

You decide to shoot her a text and she replies almost immediately.

'Y/N it's almost twelve. what's up?'

'I just really need to talk. sorry it's late.' you reply back. feeling bad.

'nah it's not late, but bring some coffee or something. come as soon as you can. see you soon :)'

Thats why you loved Kenzie. She was always there for you and you were always there for her. She was truly like your sister.

You grab your keys, your bag and your phone. You realize they're won't be any coffee shops open so you just bring some hot chocolate packets lock up your apartment and proceed down the hall. Just before you get to what must be Caspar's apartment, the door swings open, and a tall blond haired guy appears. Caspar. His back facing you. you stop in your tracks. not moving, not even breathing.

"how could you let her walk away Josh?? I told you I needed to talk to her!" Caspar yells frantically looking around the corner near the elevator.

You slowly turn around heading for your apartment once again.
"Y/N?" You hear a frail voice say.
I actually didn't know who it was at this point.

Shit... You didn't know how to talk to him. You didn't know how You felt; if you actually had feelings for this tall goofy guy. What if it's Josh? What if it's Kenzie? No it was a guy's voice. What if it was Joe?

You slowly turn around.
