Around five thirty, Izzy walks up to me. "Time to get you dressed."
I sigh. "It's not gonna take an hour and a half to get clothes."
"But it will if we've gotta go through my closet, too."
I sigh again but follow her as she practically drags me up to my room.
She spends the next ten minutes going through my closet. "Damn, how much did you spend on demon hunting clothes?" she asks while pulling out one of my outfits, which is a short red dress with an open spot on the chest.
"Too much," I sigh.
"You ever use them for anything besides demon hunting?"
"If you're asking if I use them to pick up guys, no."
She chuckles. "Just thought I'd ask. Come on."
"What?"
"We're going to my closet."
"Izzy, I don't need to be dressed nice. It's just a movie."
"I know, but don't you wanna look nice? Besides, you're going out with my brother and I want his date to be dressed pretty."
I sigh. "Okay, let's go."
She drags me off to her room, and as soon as we get there she opens the closet. "You're a size six, right?"
I nod. "Yeah."
"Good, so am I." She pulls something out of the closet, a pair of black leggings with a pink tank-top. "Try this on."
"Izzy its way too cold for that."
She nods. "Good point." She reaches back into the closet and pulls out a hot pink long-sleeve V-neck tee-shirt. "Try this."
I sigh but take the clothes, walk into the bathroom, and quickly change into the clothes.
She nods at me as I walk out. "Okay, I think that outfit's a winner. Now, do you have any other shoes?"
"I need to wear these boots. I've gotta have my stele and my dagger."
"For one night, I think you can live without them."
I sigh. "Izzy, the shoes are fine. They go with the outfit."
She sighs in defeat. "Okay. Hmm... you need anything else?"
I shake my head. "I think I'm good."
She nods. "Well, it's only six. You've got another hour."
I nod. "I'm gonna go train then."
"Wait. I wanna take this time, get to know you."
"There isn't much to know about me."
"Well I wanna know whatever there is."
I shake my head. "Please don't make me talk about it."
"Is it bad?"
I sigh. "Whatever you wanna know, ask Jace. He can tell you about me from six years ago."
"Jace?"
I nod. "Jace was like a brother to me, before he left Idris. He can tell you everything about me from back then."
She nods. "I'll ask him then. But what about the other six years?"
I shake my head. "Nothing worth talking about."
"I'm sure that isn't true."
"Nothing really happened."
She shrugs. "Okay..."
"I'm gonna go train while I wait."
She nods. "Don't rip my clothes."
I nod. "I won't, I promise." I walk out of the room and go down to the weaponry.

Isabelle and Jace watch as Charlotte and Alec leave the Institute.
"Okay," Isabelle sighs. "You've told me what she was like back then, why's she so secretive about after that?"
"I don't know," Jace replies. "Maybe something happened?"
"Well I know how to find out."
"Izzy, that's a complete invasion of her privacy."
"Aren't you curious? Besides, she doesn't have to know."
He sighs. "How are we gonna do it?"
"Hodge has a book in the library with records of every Shadowhunter. It's got a rune on it that automatically updates it when something happens. It'll tell us Charlotte's past."
"I still think it's a bad idea."
"Too late, you know the plan. Come on." She drags him into the library, over to the book. "You know her last name?"
"Stolon."
She opens the book to the S section for last names. "Stolon, Stolon, Charlotte Stolon."
Jace looks at the book and reads it aloud. "Charlotte stolon is the only daughter of Rufus and Julianna Stolon, and she had two brothers named Frederick and Henry. The only survivor of a vampire attack on her family, Charlotte was orphaned at fourteen and trained hard for two years and became the best Shadowhunter of her generation throughout all of Idris, so she could slay the vampires that killed her family. Once having done that, she departed Idris, planning never to return again."
"Oh my god..." Izzy says while looking at the book with wide eyes. "Hey family is dead."
"Killed by vampires."
"That's why she hates them. They killed her family."
Jace shakes his head. "This is an invasion of her privacy."
Izzy ignores that comment. "She said there was nothing left for her in Idris. There was literally nothing left for her in Idris. Her family was gone and she'd killed the vampires."
"Izzy, this wasn't a good idea."
"Not like we're gonna tell her that we know."
"But still. Don't give her any idea that we looked, okay?"
She nods. "Okay."
