Chapter Five: At Ease, Soldier!

Ben had to leave. Hux was now alone, even though he was surrounded by his troops. With sirens and flares going off all around him, his thoughts and worries were starting to get the best of him.

General Hux was to oversee the second wave of attacks, should there be a need for them. He was also part of a team, which was to only operate when needed.

As it seemed, that time was now.

The fight bled through the walls; the sound of blasters and commands being yelled were clear as day to Hux and his team. When the tables turned in favor of the opposing team, another general took Hux's position, and he began preparing his outfit for combat.

He was always prepared by wearing his under armor beneath his professional jacket. He swapped that jacket for a more tactical-style one, which was made to be resistant to standard-grade military blasters. Hux grabbed an radio ear-piece, so he could inform the team of any game changers. Finally, he grabbed a standard issue First Order blaster, for emergencies.

He and his team sat in silence. Their mission was to find and take down the pilots of any fighter jets, which would be taken down by one of the pilot teams. This was similar to an "every-man-for-himself" command. Everyone on this team was trusted enough to carry out these orders, and therefor shouldn't need too much assistance from others.

Hux had the personal mission, as the team leader and the closest to Snoke, to make sure Kylo Ren wasn't put in a critical situation.

What if I can't find Ben?

What if I'm too late?

What if I'm not able to leave the team?

What if I get shot on the way there?

As he became more worried, his nerves grew, and his senses heightened. His breathing increases, allowing his brain to get more oxygen.

He was ready to fight.

The command was given. The room was emptied. His men scanned the skies as Hux scanned the chaos down below. He was diving right into a hell-hole.

All apprehensive and worrisome thoughts were dismissed as Hux's eyes found his target. There was a small gang of rebel fighters surrounded the First Order's star soldier. Each of them had in their hands cheaply made replicas of light-sabers; each looked more unstable than Ben's, yet none as powerful. Ben's was made with determination, and the man wouldn't rest until he had the perfect weapon. None of these rebels would be a match.

Hux watched as two of the five advanced toward Ben. The other three moved on all sides until the group had him surrounded. The first two attacked from opposing sides, with their sabers upright in anticipation. Ben dropped down, kicking one to the ground while cutting the leg off the other.

Those two were down, and the other three backed off a few steps. Then, one attacked from Ben's backside, taking a swing at his torso, yet the soldier blocked him, and sent his friends flying with a swipe of his hand.

The other two joined another fight, while Ben turned back to his opponent. As Ben pulled his saber away, he quickly grabbed the mans throat, holding him up. Without saying a word, he thrust the saber into his stomach, and left him for dead on the ground

Hux quickly ran to join him, making sure he hadn't been hurt. There were no visible wounds. He believed this to be one of Ben's best performances yet.

"You did well out there. Glad to see you're not hurt."

Ben chuckled, "Of course I'm not hurt, what would you expect?"

As the rest of the rebel fighters were killed, the order was made to assemble back inside, were the overseers would inform everyone of how the battle went. The two soldiers walked back, light banter between the two. Until, of course, they walked inside; then, the two remained professional.

AN!

HEY! So, stuff went down, the two had a moment, and their feelings came back from the war!!
