Days had gone by, Celebrian and Lord Elrond became very close with one another. They shared things about themselves and became great friends. They would join each other on walks and horse rides. Celebrian loved spending time with Lord Elrond. But now that her time with him was coming to an end, she began to wonder what their future would be like. She loved Rivendell and him. What was she going to do?

Celebrian was looking out at the path, from which Lord Elrond and some soldiers had taken. Lord Elrond left with a few of his men to run some orcs out of Rivendell. He has been gone all day, and Celebrian was becoming worried. So to calm her nerves a little bit, she sat and looked at the path, waiting for him to come cantering home.
Hours later, Lord Elrond had still not returned and it was beginning to turn from day to night. Celebrian began to think the worst. What if he didn't make it? She couldn't take it any longer, so she started to walk away when the Rivendell horn was blown. Celebrian knew what that meant. Lord Elrond and the soldiers had returned.
Without hesitation, Celebrian ran to meet Lord Elrond. She ran through the hallways and down the stairs, then headed outside. When she was outside, she saw Lord Elrond hope off his black horse. She smiled in relief that he had made it back. Lord Elrond turned around, finding Celebrian waiting for him at the top of the steps. He smiled at her, then he started walking in her direction.
He was dressed in his armor with a sword strapped to his waist, that rested on his left side.
He was in front of Celebrian a couple of steps down from her, but they were still the same height. Elrond smiled at Celebrian.
"I was afraid you didn't make it." said Celebrian.
"I will always make it back...to you." replied Lord Elrond.
When Celebrian heard that, her heart melted. She had never been so happy before. Lord Elrond was someone special to her. She loved him and now she knew that he loved her.
"Follow me." said Lord Elrond as he grabbed Celebrian's hand.
She followed Lord Elrond through hallways and pathways. They were walking farther and farther from the buildings. They had the company of nature now. Lord Elrond slowed down from jogging. They were now walking side by side.
"Where are you taking me, Elrond?" asked Celebrian.
"I am taking you to my private place, where I am the only one who knows where it is." explained Lord Elrond.
Celebrian smiled at him. They walked a couple more ways away, until they had arrived at their destination. There was a talk cherry blossom tree that had a nice bench underneath it. Celebrian walked over to the tree and took a seat on the bench, underneath the tree. Lord Elrond sat next to her and sighed.
"Beautiful isn't it." said Lord Elrond.
"Words can't even explain it." replied Celebrian.
They turned their heads to look at each other. Lord Elrond slowly came closer to Celebrian. He placed his lips on hers gently, and began kissing her. He placed his hand on the back of her neck, while Celebrian placed her hands on both of his cheeks.
When they were done kissing, Lord Elrond whispered, "Gi melin (I love you), Celebrian."
Celebrian didn't reply. She simply smiled at Lord Elrond.
