Overjoy is an incredible feeling, it becomes present when your husband and you will be having two incredible and beautiful babies.
I know Jake planned on keeping me safe and convincing me to end my pregnancy but now he knows I will be 100% fine, he has come to the conclusion that somewhere in his heart he loves our children and can't wait for them to be born. Then unexpected can do incredible things.
The moment the fetuses are birthed into babies is the moment when I will turn from woman to mother, and Jake from husband to father.
The thought of me carrying life in my stomach amazes me, there are two living things in my body, two babies that will soon be entered into the world. Carlisle doesn't know what they'll become, whether they'll be vampires, shifters, or normal humans.
If they are human they won't love forever like us, which is why I hope they will be any part supernatural so they can live the lifetime they deserve.
If the children are both vampire and wolf they will be so rare that others of their kind may bot even exist. I can't wait to find out what they will become.
The butterflies Jacob used to give me are now turned into tiny little feet.
"Ness come on, we're supposed to be visiting Carlisle soon!" Jacob calls from the kitchen. Like always, my lover is worrying about mine and the babies health; but I don't dislike that, I love it when he puts their wants and needs before his. I stand up from my bed where Alice has smothered my bedroom floor with maternity clothes and forced me to try all of them on, and walk to where Jake has called me.
In all honesty, I am not that large yet. A round bump the size of a pillow is all that I have and in a way I'm glad because
A. Jacob would worry if I got too big so early,
And B. it would be a lot harder to get around and complete basic activities with a humongous belly.
Some women don't like that they look so big when they're pregnant, but I can't be happier to show off my barely inflated tummy with two anonymously perfect children inside it. Even if I'm not that large at all.
"Babe calm down, I'm only a few days pregnant. I don't need to be seeing Carlisle every day." I assure Jake as I lean against the counter of the cottage kitchen. My overreacting boyfriend stops rushing around the kitchen to run over to me and peck me on the lips. When he turns to go back to looking for whatever he was, I grab his shirt and pull him back to me.
His eyes are of pure tiredness, Jacob has been running constant patrols for the past couple days to make up for the ones he missed when we were on our honeymoon. I haven't seen him as much as I need to but Alice, Rose and momma and daddy have been spending time with me for distraction.
"You need to rest." I state firmly, knowing if I don't then Jake won't obey me and shrug it off.
"After your appointment." is all he replies before I tug on his shirt collar an bring my lips to his for a passion filled kiss to catch up on all the teasing and loving ones I've missed out on for a while. Luckily Jake kisses back but pulls away lightly after a few seconds.
"We need to go love." I huff but take his hand and let him drag me out the door and to the main house.

"So how is she Carlisle?" Jake impatiently asks from the chair next to the hospital bed where I am sat with my top up and Jacob's hand in mine.
"Ness is fine, but the babies... I can't see anything still. The vampire skin they've made is too strong for me to properly see through. All I know by their silhouette is that they're growing at a healthy rate for their kind." Carlisle evidently explains.
"And what is their kind?" I question.
"Vampire, at least a partial amount. Otherwise they would not be capable of making a protective layer. No doubt will they also be part wolf thanks to Jacob; what an incredible and unique mix." He says the last part more to himself.
