Chapter 5 - The Promised Land Kids

Eh, looks like that's that. The first late upload of the year~ Yay... Seems like late uploads are going to be a regular thing (or should I say unregular?)

Sorry, but it seems like until my exams are over and done with I will not be able to dedicate as much time to writing :( I did bloody awful in the prelims, and if I want to at least get a pass then I have to put maximum effort meaning...no uploads...

Well, I still don't own Naruto! But I do own quite a few characters in this fanfic!

(Lian's POV)

I'm hot.

Too hot, hot damn. Don't call the police, they'll put me away again. Firemen are okay I guess, they put out fire. They'll cool me off. Ah, I love that song...

Anyway, I wonder why I'm so warm, usually by now the covers have been kicked off. That doesn't seem to be the case though... I wonder why... If only I could be bothered to open my eyes and find out why. I'm comfortable though, so that's probably not going to happen any time soon.

Wait a minute. There's something on my neck!

No, not my hair.

Wait.

Yeah, okay, my hair is there but there's also something else! Something...

Oh my holy turtle - that's breathing! This is when I open my dang eyes! Wanna know what I see? My bed! What's so terrible about that? I'm not on it! I'm on the bed opposite! Rythian's bed!

Meaning...

Oh, it's just Rythian.

Phew! I thought it would be Akamaru or something. Actually, I wouldn't mind if it was Akamaru...I miss that puppy. More than Kiba, does that make me a bad friend? Probably, but who couldn't love Akamaru?

The tickling on my neck breaks me from the off-topic topic. I turn my head and, surprise surprise, there's Rythian. Sleeping. ...I'm not blushing, you're blushing. Me? Blush? I don't wear makeup! Now, I'm not judging you for blushing, I mean, who wouldn't? He could be considered adorable, I guess, your words not mine.

Okay, time to get down to business. I need to get out of here, it's far too warm for my liking. But how do I accomplish this without waking Rythian up? I'm going to be polite this morning and not push him out of bed because I know how horrible that can be, especially after all the ice cream we ate last night and how I...passed out...from brain freeze...

So that's how I'm not in my own bed.

That cheeky son of a bum!

Now I'm kind of tempted to push him out, just for that...but no! I'm a kind human being! Let's do this...

Oh, I should probably inform you of the predicament I'm in. It's quite a...situation. So, I'm practically hanging on the edge of glory here since somebody takes up the rest of the single dang bed. Thankfully and awkwardly Rythian, who is lying on his front, has a leg and an arm wrapped around me preventing me from falling.

The question is, how does one get out of this situation without waking up the person holding on to you and making you fall to your death, or fall to your death yourself?

Skill. You need a helluva lot of skill. Thankfully, I have a ton of that!

Using my ninja skills, I will maneuverer my way out of Rythian's hold and without waking him I shall -
