Chapter 6 - Training Difficulties

(Lian's POV)

"Lian."

"Meh..?"

"Wake up."

"I don't wanna..."

I can sense the eye rolling Rythian standing beside my bed, fully dressed and washed. I know that he got up possibly an hour or two ago to shower and start the day. I know this because, guess what, he woke me up.

But then once he went to the bathroom I kind of, maybe, perhaps, feel asleep. Then he came out the bathroom, woke me up again, got his clothes and went into the bathroom once more to get ready.

I, once again, may have by some chance, fallen asleep. Again.

And here's where we are now. With this grumpy butt trying to ruin my day before it begins...

"Your monologues are quite rude sometimes."

"Sorry, I forget I'm speaking out loud when I'm this tired." I yawn, deciding to sit up. Might as well seeing as this guy ain't going away anytime soon.

"Still talking out loud." Rythian tells me with a deadpan look on his face.

I shrug my shoulders. "Oh well. Now, why are you waking me up this early? It's ridiculous."

Rythian takes a seat beside me on the bed, my bed - who does he think he is?

"Again, still - "

"Okay, I need to wake up. Now." I say, shaking my head. Bed head is the worst thing when your hair is longer than your being is.

"Now, to answer your question, we're getting up early to meet with the Promised Land kids." Rythian explains as I get out of bed. Might as well get ready while this guy's talking...

"Stop referring me in your monologues as 'this guy', please!"

"I'm just doing this on purpose now." I say laughing.

He sighs, closing his eyes. "I know you are..."

"Okay, about this waking up thing though, I thought we met up with the other kids yesterday?" I say, riffling through my bag for a change of clothes. Ugh. We're gonna need to do some laundry soon, either that or we're gonna have to start wearing clothing inside out and back to front.

"That's disgusting."

"Okay, are you a fucking mind reader?" I ask, turning round to face Rythian. "Because I'm hella sure I'm not talking out loud."

"Nah, I just know you too well." Rythian grins. "Anyway! Remember we promised to meet up with them yesterday? To show them our ninja skills and explain the world of ninja to them?"

"Alright, I'll show them the skills and you can do all the wordy stuff." I say, grinning back.

So, after a quick shower and other essential morning routine situations I am now ready for the day and eating breakfast with Rythian! These time skips are pretty amazing aren't they?

Wanna know what else is amazing? Brenda's cooking!

"This is heaven on a plate." I can't help but cry.

Brenda blushes, aw. "You're so sweet."

"To you anyway..." That cheeky bum.

"Can you teach my husband the same manners you have?" she grumbled, glaring across the room where her husband sat drinking tea.

Feeling the gazes of the other people in the room, he looked up, confused, "What?"

"Nothing, Harold." Brenda smiled. "Just drink your dang tea."
