Chapter 9 - Definitely Threats

....hi. Well, we've come to the end of the year and whoops this isn't finished. Sixth year is a LOT more chaotic than I thought it was gonna be... Oh well, at least it's almost over soon. Then I can worry about Uni. Ha ha... ha.

Anyway! I'll hopefully have a bit more time to upload over the holidays so long as no teachers decide to give me some cheeky homework (and no a cheeky Nando's)

(Lian's POV)

Food is great, don't you agree? ...what? Gotta start this conversations somehow. Anyway, while food is great, Brenda's food is great times ten - which equals amazing!

So here we all are, sitting around happily having lunch discussing...something. I'm never too sure about that stuff, especially when the food is this good. I think they're talking about helping them find their chakra or something, seeing as they look so excited. Well, apart from Maria but when is she ever...any emotion?

Wait a minute, we have a problem...

"Rythian," I nudge him, halting the conversation (oops), "We can't train them."

"Why not?" Matt whined.

"Well," I begin slowly because really, how do I explain this to them? "The authorities here got a hold of me and 'asked' me to not show these 'powers' to anyone else in the town..."

"Oh yeah..." Rythian said, remembering our conversation from before.

"What about it?" Maria asks, not caring at all by the sound of it.

Yup, sound. I refuse to look at her after what happened upstairs because...what even did happen? Nevermind! Conversation for another time it seems.

"Look, if we get caught then there's no point." Rythian explains logically, "We'll end up getting kicked out of here, never to return. And while we aren't going to stay forever, it would be nice to be allowed to visit."

"Aw, you'd come visit us?" Ryan grinned, "How sweet."

Alice rolled her eyes, leaning across the table. "Look, for a while now I've been thinking there might be more to life than this town. Ever since you two have shown up, my suspicions have pretty much been confirmed."

"What're you going on about?" Matt asks, tilting his head to the side.

"I have one of those con-thingy theories."

"Conspiracy?"

"Yes, thank you Ryan." Alice smiles, "I think the authorities aren't letting us leave to the up-lands."

"What!?"

Well. This should be interesting.

"That's ridiculous." Maria said rolling her eyes.

"Let the woman talk, woman!" Matt said and then flinched when he realised his mistake.
