Chapter 17

I slowly walked into Chris's room as quiet as possible. I wanted to wake Chris up and sing happy birthday.

I placed the tray of food on the bedside table and got into the bed to snuggle up with Chris.

I breathed in her ear and felt her shiver under my touch.

"So if I watch you sleep it's creepy but when you watch me it's fine?" Chris asked.

"Yup." I simply said.

"But you're beautiful when you sleep. Your mouth is parted lightly to allow air to get through and your nose is slightly scrunched up and your eyes are graciously closed." She simply said making me raise a eyebrow at the fact that she didn't need to think at what I looked like when I was asleep she knew from the top of her head.

"That's a bit creepy babe. If I'm beautiful when I'm asleep, what am I when I'm awake?" I asked cheekily.

"You're my sexy mate."

"Thanks babe. C'mon eat your breakfast it's going to get cold." I said reaching over her to get the plate.

She smiled when she looked at it. It was pancakes with 'Happy 17th Birthday' on the top in chocolate sauce.

"Awe thanks baby." She said as she started eating.

"So what are we doing today?" Chris asked as we started to get dressed from the shower.

"The usual birthday girl things." I said excited and nervous of my plans later on.

Chris noticed this and asked what's wrong.

"Oh baby your shaking lightly what's wrong?" Worry evident in her voice.

"Oh umm I'm just cold I guess." I said smiling reassuringly.

"Oh ok." She said some what confused.

I held her hand as we walked down the stairs together.

I coughed lightly signalling us coming and when we got to the door everyone jumped out and screamed happy birthday causing Chris to yelp in surprise.

I giggled at her reaction and she scowled at me.

'My reaction was still better than yours.' She said turning her head and laughed.

I followed her line of sight and laughed as well. Katy was all the way at the back for safe measures.

"Oh Kate c'mon we won't hurt you!" I said teasingly.

Katy scowled at me but still took a step and after seeing she was in no harm walked over to us and hugged Chris but gave me the cold shoulder and walked away.

I laughed lightly and then i moved back as Chris got bombarded by loads of hugs and kisses making me laugh at her shocked face.

Music filled the air as people started to dance. I walked over to Chris and acted like a gentleman and bowed. I picked her hand up and kissed it.
